AirBnB host is just one of the accomplishments held by Mona Oxford-Lyman. She is an incredible artist, retired art teacher from Middleton Middle School, and played volleyball for NNU and Pepperdine before coaching at a collegiate level. I was very fortunate that she was one of my first volleyball coaches. She now has a new entrepreneurial pursuit of hosting an AirBnB after her and her husband, Jack renovated the barn built on their property. Listen in to hear more about the evolution of Le Poule Roost and Mona's inspiration behind the design.

Zack is one of my favorite people (if you can't tell already with him showing up 3 times this season alone.) His mindset is straight savage. He is constantly challenging the stereotypes that keep men small while advocating for other men to step into their awareness. I met up with Zack at The Mecca Gym which hosts a beautiful array of equipment targeted towards assisting powerlifters reach full potential. During this meet up, I witnessed Zack at 5' 3" and 148 lbs deadlift 405 lbs x5 times! Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a life coach? I have! In The Evolution of Man (Part Two) Zack is back to talk with me about his process of coaching with clients as he empowers him or her to reach important goals. Reach out to Zack and read some of his blog on his website at khaoskreed.com . As always, if you'd like to contact me about a photo session you can do so at bandbartistry.org .
I sit down and talk with Mike Bryant and Zack Henson about Khaos Kreed, societal standards impacting masculinity, and relationship barriers due to social media. I’ve been listening to the movement of an evolution of men lately. It’s out there. Men rejecting the “boys will be boys” mentality and stepping into their responsibilities to be GOOD, SOLID MEN. I am really interested to hear more of this Genre of Renaissance man so I am featuring some of them this year on the podcast. I am inspired that men are embracing full consciousness and spreading the message that you don’t have to be a certain “type” of man to be “A MAN”. Such is the case with Zack Henson. Listen in to hear about The Evolution of Man.
COVID-19 hit the world and we’ve all been adjusting our daily lives around the restrictions that is creating. I am now a real estate agent with Windermere Boise Valley. Do you look at yourself any differently than a 16 oz cup?! Well, you shouldn't! Each one of us is a physical container existing in a society that expects us to fill up to overflowing. In this episode I talk about capacity and the need for accountability. I touch on failure and how integrating that into our life process can promote our "highest and best use". I would love to hear your feedback. You can leave some by voice message on anchor.fm or comment on any of my social media accounts. What would you feel if you realized at just 22 weeks in your pregnancy that you had no choice but to bring your baby into the world? That's what Melissa Jenkins and her husband, Daniel were faced with when she realized during Memorial Day weekend that she was in active labor. Hit "play" for Episode 11: Bringing Anaya Home. I have had a few undesirable experiences with the family court system pertaining to divorce and custody modification. My husband and I are currently navigating blending a family with his meddling, high conflict ex as a main obstacle. There was a point where I said, "WHERE ARE THE SUPPORT GROUPS FOR THIS STUFF?" As soon as I said that I opened up Instagram and found a blended family workshop that Ashley from Our Splendid Life was hosting. I signed up immediately. I went to the workshop and it was full of impactful information. I wanted to interview Ashley about her upcoming support resources available including upcoming workshops and her online course. She agreed to come join me for this episode. I wanted to know more about her personal experiences that drive her motivation to provide resources for blended families. At the last minute, I asked my son if he would be comfortable talking about the kid perspective to "high conflict" custody disputes and he said, "Sure!". The second half is my interview with my thirteen year old son, Jonah. You can find out more about Ashley and what she is providing on oursplendidlife.com . On a photo session, I was able to have a conversation with Allie about her struggle with society fed body obsession. We talked about how overcoming an eating disorder put her on a new path of coaching women about intuitive eating and loving the body they're in. I thought it was important to have Allie on A Fresh Perspective Podcast to talk about an issue that is not really discussed. Along with Allie's input, I invited her sister Whitney to offer perspective on the support aspect. I'm really pleased with how this interview went. I would love to hear your feedback and see your permission slip that I talk about in the end of the episode. Tag @a_fresh_perspectivepodcast on Instagram or message it to me on Facebook! Feel free to leave your feedback in voice message form at anchor.fm under A Fresh Perspective Lindsey A. Bryant. Check out my blog and photography work at: bandbartistry.org
I wanted to get an insider's perspective on the current mental health field. I was curious about how stigmas may impact a professional's ability to treat a client. I also wanted to talk to Carly ABOUT her, what motivated her to get into counseling, and her personal experiences that have shaped her as both an individual and a professional.
Quickly approaching a deadline to write my conversion story, a big catalyst for thought on the topic encouraged me at Relief Society yesterday. Listen in on some of the connections I made about the conversion process and what "conversion" as a whole can mean over a span of time for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
My husband and I are a couple who have a 7 child (soon to be 8) blended family. We also have a meddling/high-conflict ex spouse to keep out. In this episode talk about the Crazy in our lives and what steps we've taken to eliminate as many wedges as possible to restore sanity in order to foster a new marriage. Excerpts are read from the book, Say Goodbye to Crazy: How To Get Rid Of His Crazy Ex And Restore Sanity To Your Life By Dr. Tara Palmatier and Paul Elam. I highly recommend purchasing this book if you are dealing with a high conflict ex. Check out all of the links mentioned in this episode on my blog: bandbartistry.org

As a new convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I wanted to keep an account of my "first time" experiences in real time. Being Fast Sunday, I thought this was a perfect opportunity to share the blessings I've received from my family who are deceased and my Friendly Ustick Ward family. I was able to go to the temple in Meridian, Idaho and perform baptisms for the dead. If you'd like to check out my blog go to: www.bandbartistry.org
I interviewed Zack Henson, the powerhouse personality behind the brand, Khaos Kreed. At 5' 3" I was interested in his perspective as a short male in our society and the stigmas associated with that. On the opposite side of the height spectrum as a 6' woman I wondered how much we'd have in common. Check out the episode to see for yourself. The correlating blog post is on bandbartistry.org
