003: Turning Online Influence Into Offline Action with Julianne Simson of @howtobebrokeinnewyork

In this episode, we talk about how to have an engaged community and make an offline community impact, even when you have a "small following" on social media. Our guest is Julianne Simson, a New York City-based law student by day, creator of @howtobebrokeinnewyork by night.

Julianne has also hosted sold-out events offline to connect with fellow #BrokeInNewYork millennials, support local businesses, and give back to the surrounding community. When not on Instagram or in class, Julianne also interns in the Office of the New York Attorney General, serves on the executive board of her law school's Women's Law Initiative, and is a staff editor for the #1 Dispute Resolution legal journal in the country.
