In this episode, Abigail talks about what it means to have controlling behaviours and how to start letting them go. She discusses that "control freak" is not part of our personality, but just behaviour that arises when anxiety is triggered. We feel like we need to have control over the situation, and we avoid the stress by taking over space because that's what's comfortable.
She talks about how we can start letting go of the controlling behaviour and embracing our personality by feeling through every feeling, even if it's an uncomfortable one.
She explains her mechanisms to process her feelings, understand her controlling nature, and share a challenge with you that could help you understand your controlling behaviour on a deeper level.

18 - Your Sign to make the Big Change
Last episode of Season 2!
In this episode I talk about big changes, that how "the start of change is always chaos, and when done properly it can then manifest into the changes we've needed for so long." This concept is important for me to share because I want to ensure that you are manifesting the life that you want, and in order to do that there is some reflection, chaos and big changes that need to happen in your life. Some of this can be staying in relationships or not, moving on from a career that it hurting your home life and focusing in on what you need in order to give others what they need.
After this episode I discuss the changes coming to the podcast and to my own life.
Season 3 will start June 1 and episodes will be released at 6:00 am EST every 1st and 15th of each month.
Season 3's theme will be all about manifesting purpose and I am looking forward to sharing new learning and new tools with all of you.

16 - A lifetime of growth through play with Alex Arrowsmith
I sat down with an old friend of mine and we talked about play, which she has been passionate about for years, and I built my passion for after learning through her the benefits of play. In this podcast chat we dive into the developmental stages of instinctual play, through the school years and then we discussed back and forth our ideas of why play is beneficial well into adulthood. Play is a form of learning, and learning if lifelong, so instead of fitting the mold, that in reality doesn't exist, we break the mold, be embrace silly, fun and our unique personalities that help us learn through our personal ways of play.

23 - Write that book! How I finally started writing books
You guys!!! I waited until the first draft of my next book Go Get It was finished before recording this podcast episode because I wanted to use it as a celebration! The first draft is definitely the most painful, in my experience, but it is also the start of something beautiful. So... to celebrate completing the first draft of my next book, I'm talking about a subject that I am now getting cozy with which is writing my books and how I tackle writing. What motivates me to write, what helps me to write, and what inspires me on a creative level. If you want to know my secrets, check out this podcast episode.

22 - What is leadership?
I found myself pondering on the idea of what it means to be a good leader. I reflected back on how leadership was shown to me as a young girl with potential. Like most young women, I was told I was bossy, controlling and would never be a great leader, and that potential that I had seemed to be pushed farther and farther away. As an adult now I look at leadership differently and I role model it differently as well. In this episode I talk about what leadership looks like now, and how we still have the potential to be great leaders and amazing role models.
I pride myself in showing the young woman of the coming generation that there is potential waiting on the other side of the misconstrued definition of leadership that they may get from their teachers, authority figures and even the young men in their classes. When young women are taught that the only way to be a good leader is to be a man, they are less likely to fall into the roles that they show passion for. We are in a new century, we are in a new decade and it is time to take gender and sex out of the equation when it comes to being a good leader and focus on the common core values.

21 - What is Resiliency?
Resiliency is complex and it can have different meanings based on nature, nurture, culture, society and even within companies. What one person thinks is resiliency to them, may not be justifiable for another person. In this podcast I discuss some research that I found based in resiliency, what I learned, how I define resiliency myself now and what subcategories I deem important in the topic of resiliency. Resiliency is such an important part of our development, growth and health. When we hold onto things, without processing them, the emotions get stuck and we simply become exhausted from maintaining the emotion for too long. Resiliency is the action of recovering, processing, reflecting and becoming whole again.
