Saransh Desai-Chowdhry is a critical writer, creative marketer, and classically-trained musician based in New York City. He is the author of Soundstorm, a book of essays analyzing the business and culture of the modern music ecosystem, set for publication in December 2020. Saransh is also a Marketing Representative at The Orchard of Sony Music and the manager of Sanjana, a rising independent artist.
Earlier this year, Saransh graduated from New York University, where he crafted an individualized major in Cultural Entrepreneurship, spanning marketing, sociology, data science, criticism, musicology, and other disciplines, and minored in French. During his time at NYU, he interned at leading companies across the music industry including Live Nation and Roc Nation, co-managed independent artists, and was a leader on campus as an Admissions Ambassador, LinkedIn Campus Editor, and a member of a variety of business, music, and writing-oriented student organizations.
Originally from Los Angeles, Saransh attended Harvard-Westlake School and received his Sangeet Visharad (Bachelor of Music) from Raga Ranjani School of Music after completing eleven years of Hindustani Vocal Classical curriculum.
