Episode 19 - Dream Believers: Listening to What Lies Beneath
Listen in as Liz and Michael discuss their relationships with dreams, and how these sleeping stories can be a portal for accessing the unconscious self. Perhaps you rarely dream, or you dream but forget about them as soon as you wake. It's important to start where you are. Carl Jung emphasized dream-work as a primary avenue for wholeness and integration, but this work begins with a very practical step - writing your dreams downs. Dreams are a way to connect no only to our personal unconscious, but to the divine. Are you a dream believer? You will be after this episode!
Episode 18 - Healing the Divided Self
The etymology of demon is rooted and connected to the word "divide." To live divided results in a variety of psychological and emotional symptoms - psychological splitting, complexes and dissociation, which can wreak havoc in our relationships to ourselves and others. Join Michael as he gives language and offers practical guidance for healing the divided self.

Episode 17 - Befriending the Stranger Within
Our collective isolation, polarization and loneliness disconnect us from one another and from our internal landscape. Spiritual practices have fallen stale or diminished to a level that cannot contain or sustain our needs. We need a way to relate to that which is strange within - the parts of us exiled, angry and apathetic. Tools such as Internal Family System (IFS) and Active Imagination can support us as we listen and ask questions of our most hidden parts.

Episode 16 - Giving to Dogs What is Sacred
Carl Jung once wrote, “One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” Many of us know the passage from Matthew 7:1-6 commanding the reader to "not judge" and "not see the plank in your neighbor's eye." But what we see in others may offer us a glimpse of what we've hidden and shadowed in ourselves. Our work is not to avoid our judgements, but to become aware of them. Join us as we explore an old passage, and investigate and integrate our shadow.
Episode 15 - Eulogizing Church
Episode 14 - Being Born When We Are Already Old
Perhaps Jesus is not our savior but our initiator. Join us as we make room for our shadowed questions, name our longing for transformation, and discuss the Archetype of Initiation.
Episode 13 - Scripture as a Mirror or Microscope?
In this episode we discuss octopus beaks, chocolate covered peanuts, and approaching life with a hermeneutic of the shadow, which gives us a mirror rather than a microscope for our lives.
Episode 12 - The Tomb of the Womb
If new life is to come, old forms must die. Join us as we discuss the formlessness of 2020 that invites us into transformation.
