Acceptable Words

By W. Logan Dixon

My name is Wendell Logan Dixon, and I am a Christian, a husband, a pastor, and now an aspiring podcaster. Everyone else has a voice in the wilderness so why not add mine to the rest of the cacophony? In this show, I hope provide talks and interviews about faith, life, and a little bit of everything in between. Join me every Monday (more like most Mondays) as I interview guests, share articles, and speak words that I hope are, at the very least, acceptable.

S3E13 - What's My Deal with the Baptists?

This was a livestream where I just kind of went off about why I'm always "picking on" the Baptists. Honestly, it's mostly because they have the largest voice in evangelical culture, and that voice is not infallible and sometimes needs to be corrected. I also talk about how conservative evangelical churches in Pope County, Arkansas have irresponsibly handled the issue of whether or not our county will have casino. I'm not pro-casino or anti-casino, but I am pro-Gospel, and salvation is not by faith plus an anti-casino political position.

S3E3 - Sermon: Our Mandate for Ministry

On our last episode of The Monday Morning Megaphone, my wife brought up the sermon that I preached at the 2019 Spring Meeting of the Arkansas Presbytery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. I thought I would take this opportunity to share that sermon with you. I was very honored to have been pastor of a church that was willing to host the presbytery meeting at this time, and I was even more honored to have been asked to preach at this meeting. This was a timely message that the Lord gave me, and I pray that this will be heard as a cry for the authority of Scripture in the life of the Church.

S2E12 - Charles Stanley IS NOT Selling CBD Oil, SBC Disintegration with Nate Willcutt

Nate Willcutt joins me in my office to talk about a recent article where Christianity Today actually had to clarify that Dr. Charles Stanley of InTouch Ministries IS NOT selling his own brand of CBD oil and gummies. We discussed the benefits and drawbacks of marijuana, CBD oil, gummies, and the like. Then, we somehow got off Albert Mohler and his need to talk about the beef between Burger King and Chick-Fil-A while overlooking the fact that the SBC is completely disintegrating from the inside out.

S2E7 - Logan's "What's Wrong With You People?" Speech with Brittany Dixon

I didn't really have anything planned for this week so I just had my wife come into the office with me and let me rant about how SJWism is creeping into the church and how it's affecting everything we do and even how we look at Scripture. I literally spent 47 and a half minutes ranting about this stuff. Do I provide any practical solutions? Yeah, read the Bible, preach the Bible and don't hold back. Not practical enough for you? Too bad. I don't have anything for you.

In this episode, Logan and his wife, Brittany, talk about how they met and got married. Then in the second segment, they actually get into the story of how they came together. They discuss how they met, who unwittingly helped them come together, and how they almost got married during a presbytery meeting.
There's an issue with the audio for about the first minute, but it gets fixed later.
