Lola Pops Off about KDramas

After last week's episode, (almost 3-hour long rave about City Hunter) I decided it would be best to give you and I a short breather episode. So, today we're throwing it back to 2015's Splash Splash Love!

As we know, in this season of the podcast, we're jumping around the past 20+ years of Kdramaland to find and rediscover what it is about these small screen masterpieces that make us love and appreciate them so much. It's also a journey for me to return to my beginnings of watching Kdrama and remember what things I've learned from these dramas and what more I hope to learn as I continue watching them!

So, join me for a splash into the past with this time-traveling short comedic good time called Splash Splash Love.

Today's episode is our 3rd installment of throwing it back in this season and I am glad to present to you 2009's Shining Inheritance! It was a longer commitment to throw it back to this 28-episode drama, but it's a family drama classic with all the theatrics and heart in the world! It was a hit during its time, so I wanted to revisit it to see if I think it deserved all that fame and glory! So, listen in now to find out if this one is one I believe still has some merit and was worth my time with this rewatch!

So, to start us off, come join me as I throw it back to 2004's What Happened in Bali? It's a controversial one, hated and beloved by many, but let's see what I was left feeling after rewatching this drama after all these years!

Christmas came early again this year for me with the return of one of my favorite episodes I’ve ever done! This episode is truly a gift to me. I was finally able to sit down and go through my thoughts on Moving, a drama I tried to dub top drama of the year for me after only 4 episodes in a Ramblings & Musings episode. Today's episode is where we see what's up with Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun! After watching the first 4 episodes, I thought I'd give my initial thoughts on the return of our twins Eun Seom and Saya! I'm not too sure how many people will actually check out this season 2, but if you're interested to know what I think of it and if I'll continue watching it, tune in now!

Today's episode is a quick Midpoint Thoughts one on Destined with You and A Time Called You. I've finally caught up with Destined with You, so I have some thoughts about this drama albeit a little late! I also thought it would be a fine idea to throw in some midpoint thoughts on A Time Called You as I have yet to finish it, but before I do...I need to share my piece about how I'm feeling with this complicated time-slip tale.

Today's episode is my dearest My Dearest thoughts at this midpoint of the drama! As we're waiting for part two, I wanted to take a minute to talk through how I'm feeling and to lay out some of my confusions about part one and my expectations about part two. I also meant for this episode to be a lot shorter than it is; however, I let myself get carried away as I realized I had quite a few thoughts about only the first half of this drama. Today's episode is another Let's See What's Up! I give my initial thoughts on the first four episodes of Revenant and Numbers, and first two episodes of Heartbeat. I wanted to round out all the new dramas from June with squeezing these three in here. But I can say I'm not sure June really turned out to be the Kdramageddon I thought it would be.
