Jakob Rost - CEO and Co-founder of Ayoconnect
with Jakob (@jakobrost), CEO and CO-founder of Ayoconnect, a bill payment app. He shared about his childhood, growing up in Germany and exposed to technology for the first time. Then he shared how he got the opportunity to join Lazada Indonesia, first time visiting Indonesia, and working to educate market about online commerce. Jakob also shared his thought on Lazada mafia, a group of Lazada alumni that became a founder of awesome companies. Then after Lazada, Jakob founded Ayoconnect (re-brand from Ayopop) to solve bill payment issue in Indonesia. He shared his thought as to why he thought bill payment was a big issue and why he wanted to solve it, and why then Ayopop rebranded to Ayoconnect to focus on B2B. Then she also shared how her dream shifted to tech consultant and her experience working abroad. Later on NIki got into her first tech experience by working in a venture builder. She shared what he learned by building multiple businesses. After that finally she was convinced by her brother to start a company of their own, which was Goers. with Rajiv, CEO and Founder of Neurosensum and SurveySensum. He shared how and why he first moved into Indonesia. He then shared his career journey from Assistant Engineer until Director of Nielsen Indonesia and Kadence before finally building his own company, Neurosensum. Rajiv talked about why he built Neurosensum and how can the company helped other businesses to do better market research. Joshua Agusta -- Director of Mandiri Capital

Then he shared how he first came to learn about tech and startups, joining Systec, one of the first VC in SEA. Later on Systec went bankrupt and Joshua talked about how did it happen and how did he feel about that. Joshua then shared how he got a second chance in VC-world, this time joining MDI, again with Nicko Widjaja. He shared why he joined and what is the difference between MDI and Systec. MDI racked up 7 exits and Joshua shared how he felt about that moment. After five years in MDI he moved to Mandiri Capital, another state owned company, becoming a Director of Venture Fund.
