This episode is about conditioning and creating the best habits for yourself. This requires practice every single day with incredible repetition, discipline and having a vision. You need to have an outcome that you are emotional about achieving, a compelling why,....in other words what is your big purpose and you have to stick to it no matter what anyone says or does. Let these be healthy habits that inspire And encourage yourself to continue forward in a beautiful example even. Be brave, be a leader and inspire others! Just as you can condition a new habit you can unconditioned an old one. Never give up!
We make a choice everytime something upsets us. What I heard from Tony Robbins this morning reminded me about that - we always have a choice. What meaning are you giving to this event, situation, feeling, relationship etc.? Is it an empowering one? I caught myself feeling that anxiety about a situation and said "wait! I am not making the right choice! I must work that muscle the right way!" So here it is, a quick hit to you - work the choice-muscle by first being aware of it and then practice making the most empowering meaning about what you are dealing with. You ALWAYS have a choice. An empowering meaning takes time to build but you know that the more you do something (and focus on something) the stronger it grows. The key to longevity, strength, and strong muscles require constant work. I am so grateful to truly hear this message today, and to be fortunate enough to share it with you!
You decide the best serving focus at any given moment. Is it a focus that serves towards your goals and right intentions or does it take away? You have the power of choice. Next are your words that you’re speaking about what you want to focus on serving you or take you away?again it’s all the same focus what is the right words you can use more serving words you can use to help you through the situation and it’s not a challenge anymore it’s not an obstacle anymore it’s just something you need to do so make the decision. When you share something you learned that’s a good since you are also reinforcing it in your self as well!So how about sharing it forward? ACTION STEPS: 1. Choose your focus, 2. Practice each time you get to a point like this, 3. Choose good words!, and 3. Repeat & teach it forward!
Why is change a good thing listen to the episode to find out more but I think you know change equals learning and growth we are not meant to stay the same we were created to grow and expand. Our response to change is connected to our body’s response to health. Let’s learn together better more serving ways to ‘handle’ change.
In this episode I’m very brief I talk about it’s been a while since I made a podcast and how change is a very important thing in our lives but it typically causes stress and anxiety and most people myself included. Recently I’ve learned a better method on how to respond to change versus fight it I want to share that forward with you in this episode however I am just expressing that I know change is really hard and it has to do with us not having control or not having control. The first step in adjusting how you respond to change is being aware that you have this response and that you want to make a difference in your life. My goal is to teach you as I am learning myself.
Questions are one of the greatest tools we can use to discover and uncover perhaps the automatic habits we have in play that may not be serving us. Without asking the question whatever know if there’s another answer and perhaps that answer will lead us to discovering something new or perhaps a new perspective we can adapt. Have you been programmed? When was the last time your internal software took an update? Do you need a whole new operating system? The goal is to have fun with this, and learn something about yourself. NLP meta model?
Your dreams and daydreams will come true because that is what you focus on as we know what we focus on is what will happen without our own conscious control our subconscious is working for us or against us so make sure what you envision first thing in the morning is something that which you want to achieve in a beautiful healthy and positive way. This is a challenge because we can’t always do that but if we make a habit of trying one day it will appear in front of you I promise. Never give up (so long as it’s a good vision not an evil one! (I just watched a bunch of superhero movies so that explains evil side note!)
The Learning Coach, my good friend Heather and I talk about what nature is for us how good it is for us, the benefits of it, and the best way to get some of it!
I talk about the ability to withstand being knocked down or taken by surprise while on our path. Having the ability to sit through pain or discomfort is a skill I am familiar with experiencing. Having a target and getting side tracked is the other added difficulty. How are you seeing this? If your perspective is this is part ov the journey and there is something to learn here, then the pain will be worth the lesson. Your next big wave will be worth the ride!
In this episode I talk about what kind of coaching I do strategic coaching what discipline is being a disciple as well as reviewing your past is a good thing just not as a focus. This is my first podcast episode with an intro, an outro and some hours put into editing! It really is the same Lora, but with some fun music and the topic I seem to always love to talk about - Nature and Focus. What we choose to focus on plays a role in our minds all day and all our lives. If we take time to be intentional with what is in front of us, as well as taking the time to be aware of that, opens up new areas of our most beautiful muscle we should be exercising the most- our brain.
It only takes a few minutes to stop and concentrate on something. All over the world people travel to have a few minutes somewhere to just have the time and inspiration to be intentional. I do too. I hope this message inspires you to look at what is in front of you in a light and inspirational way - and encourages you to take time to practice whatever you feel you need to take time for. I am excited to break out of my comfort zone and share with you. with love, loraxplora.com
I was recording and then.... what transpired inspired me to actually create a well-formed podcast. After I heard this recording I felt I had to bring out the original before I bring out my big new podcast. Maybe you can appreciate me taking the time to actually turn off my recording when I realized my friend didn’t want to be in the podcast (shy) but it’s great to hear how it started out. I was in solitude and then I was not.... so I’m going to publish this part and to protect my friend- only publish my final podcast in the next episode which will be "001" my first big LoraXplora podcast where I'll have an intro, and outro and wow. I'm excited... this is me just being unedited.
Just a brief introduction of the next few podcasts I bring in- I’m a much more serious podcaster than I thought and I’m a much more serious podcaster than I remembered today July 2 is for me a very interesting type of day ...a reminder that nothing happens by accident!
I talk a bit about how it’s been a while since I’ve been here- it’s been a while since I’ve been listening it’s been a while since I’ve been voicing. And it has been a season of other things which means making room in your life... and the balance of it all. Seasons can be different than we thought! Are you able to flow with it? Are you seeking the opportunity in the change? Are you able to look at each day as a new beginning? Lots of good to be discovered, so let us do that- jump in the puddles when it rains!
I talk about taking time to absorb the long awaited for break such as this long winter for us in the spring has finally come in observing birds how they were building their nest and singing in the process and it’s possible that they build their nest every year a new one. Can we be like them? We have to learn from nature indeed. I’m going to sit here and enjoy it for a little while. Have a beautiful day!
Bringing my very first hosted Interview with my friend Heather Bonham, an established Author and Teacher who brings more to the table for all of us. Study Skills Survival Guide, available on Amazon Kindle, is an Excellent resource for educators, parents, and students of all ages. This is the Right approach to master our study skills in any endeavor we and our children are set out to master.
This idea began for Heather while juggling life - after having kids, in her 30's Heather went back to school to get her teaching Degree. While obtaining this education degree, Heather learned online and needed to share how to manage time and study skills forward to her students. Her background is in Family Services, disability services, and comes from a family of teachers. She realized soon these students would be lacking the guidance of studying after they left High School and on to college. This book is her way of Gifting to her students so they could take the skills with them and use as they nee
In this episode I talk about how your to do list and when your to do list can actually set the wrong intention for the rest of your day. What if you did simpler to do list and only picked one or two things that you had to do and you did your to do list the night before?
Faith or Trust? I speak about where I feel Faith is felt and Trust is built. Both can be built over time however trust requires some key buliding blocks. Faith is one of those building blocks. What do you believe?
I touch on how we live in auto-pilot, trance, hypnotic states most of the time doing the same old routine. We follow the same paths, take the same routes. I challenge you to change it up! To live well we must grow, and to grow we must do something different in some way. Perhaps it is just about taking in a new perspective. Are you doing that? Try it and see what happens. You do not know unless you try. A little change in perspective may be just that dose of inspiration you need to recharge the batteries!
In this episode I talk about seasons endings new beginnings smells senses people nature and the journey of life going through tough times and remembering to have faith.
In this episode I talk about my Laurainspiredproject.com website my latest interview that I published with my friend Heather and time management. We maybe super productive and creating calendar and time Chungking but how well do we handle obstacles and do those seem to get in the way of our time chunks and are perfectly organized calendars? Do you find that you will set time aside and never get the project done? This is one of my challenges in this episode I talk about how to set time aside to handle challenges and if challenges come up that you must address the best way to manage that so that you can keep on track.
I talk about breath and how when we’re stressed sometimes a deep breath it’s all we need to reframe and get back into an intentional feeling of less stressed just by focusing on the breath alone. Sometimes the stress were feeling is so intense that we hold our breath and we hold our belly. Sometimes it may not even be a lot of stress we are feeling but the way we breathe has everything to do with the oxygen we are receiving. Amount of oxygen received has a direct connection to how our brain functions. You know the rest!
In this episode I talk about giving only coming from a full cup. I talk about seasons, necessary endings, and making sure you serve from a full cup. Lots of good stuff here and here’s to replacing bad habits with only be good so that you are at your best and everyone else around you and your life is a fulfilling and joyful journey. Sometimes in our relationships two people can be at different points or different phases of their lives but they may have started out in the same face this is a tough challenge and sometimes we can have a closer look at ourselves and perhaps it is a necessary endings perhaps we are on a different journey. This does not mean that to people aren’t loving and wonderful -sometimes their paths grows in different directions. Have a bit of challenges of life is learning the delicate balance of how do you share relationships that go in different directions how do you manage them how do you deal with that yourself first you must be filled in your life and in your rit
Are you able to explore beyond the physical realm you exist in at this exact moment? You are! Perspective refresh or inspiration is right there waiting for you... and who knows what else (whomever and whatever you want to be there.)
Storms are part of life. How you weather it is entirely up to you. Where is your focus? Together we remind one another how although we are strong we are stronger together. Choose the right surroundings and voices you listen to. Pick a target - in your visions, your now, your business, your fitness routine, or mindset ( all of the above.)
In this episode I talk about fear holding us back. In order to discover new things we sometimes have to take that small step even when we feel the fear and what actually happens is momentum. Sometimes taking a small step feels like a big leap but in order to discover new oceans we must not be afraid to leave the shore! Let us Spring ahead!
Quick discussion on self-worth as relates to the foods we feed ourselves, the way we talk to ourselves and way we treat our bodies! Are you awake to this awareness? How could you expect others to treat you well if you don’t treat yourself well? Let’s lead by example and live the good life! The right habits help us thrive!
I encourage you to practice the habit of deciding what to focus on - make time for all three! Progress, Preparation, and being Present in the moment. Take stock of the abundance you have, the progress you make no matter where you are. Being in the ‘progress’ area gives you momentum to enjoy whatever presence you can take in, and be in the right mindset to prepare for the task, day, or anything ahead of you. Laurainspiredproject.com is about us doing this as a community... I hope this serves you well!
In this episode I talk about how the best vibrations of your life can make unbelievable breakthroughs for you and how I personally myself I’ve been going through this. I also talk about how we need to make some necessary endings and do some pruning in order to say no to the good even the good yes even the good that we have to say goodbye to so that we can make room for the best we need to have the right energy in our lives because even the wrong energy sometimes just changing our perception of that energy doesn’t even allow us to thrive it actually makes suffering become a big statement which we don’t want.Celebrate and have gratitude for the best seasons and even the worst because they help us build our character and make us who we are and we have to go through that hard work of saying no to the good so that we have room for the best but always remember enjoy the adventure
And this podcast in these two episodes I talk about being sick getting over the flu having time to think and really listening to your self which is something we think we’re good but are we really meeting on progress not perfection flip the switch sometimes when we think negative thoughts we don’t realize so the point is listen and then flip the switch what if it turns out completely awesome! It’s good to be back!
In this episode I talk about getting over sickness and listening to your body from the inside and making sure that if we don’t like what we here we get around to for feeling that great relationship with ourselves for without ourselves how can we have a relationship with anyone else also importance of breathing. Serving from a full cup how can we give service to others when are cup is empty and how do we fill our cup so that we may be able to serve people better?
In this episode I talk about my gratitude for a fellow Anchor podcaster Joey atlas and would we call it gratitude for the flu? I don’t know what we call it but I talk about sickness and healing and food as medicine and sometimes getting sick is unavoidable and we just have to rest and nurture ourselves back to health! Boy do I miss being outdoors and getting some fitness in!
In the segment I review a little bit about creating a vision any mission statement and although it takes lots of time it’s so worth the awareness and discovery you go through to be able to make better decisions set clear goals and cut through the bull!
I bring up something that is called the TRIAD, that which Tony Robbins teaches about your physiology, your belief and the language that you use. Practicing how to analyze your situation and switch to a better state ( more empowering TRIAD) we are able to bring ourselves out of things such as anxiety depression etc. i’m very proud that I was able to do that for myself with anxiety tonight but like anything it takes practice to make it a habit. Gratitude to the listeners and the sharers here on Anchor fm!
I describe how I don’t keep track of podcasts and how life is an adventure and I’m learning about coaching and relationships with the course I’m taking I learned something very big this past night. The item I share is talking about becoming as for filled with one area of your life and replicating it in others. Then of course extreme gratitude for your content, creativity on this anchor adventure!
And the segment I talk about the progress of my 30 day mental diet that it’s not a perfection goal but it’s awareness and progress which is the whole reason why I started the mental diet in the first place. Also my gratitude for the new listeners and finding all these wonderful stations and interesting people to connect with!
In this episode I talk about my 30 day mental diet being on day five, already I’m finding amazing things happening I’ve had to look up a couple times and also the importance of writing things down and keeping a calendar. writing versus computer. When you write with your hand your brain is working in a subconscious way and if you’re putting plans down goals etc. you’re putting your Beautiful brain To work!
This episode is about looking up and thinking positive thoughts what you think it will becomes so we’re going to practice looking up & thinking positive thoughts. Also I share about my 30 day mental diet with you
Feeling tired, uninspired, cold or down like I was? Listen to this reminder (push yourself to do something good, even if it means fighting your brain!) Getting outside in nature to sweat went against my body and brain... but intuition told me to get back to a healing source- nature. Nothing beats a good jog, lots of gear, fighting the elements, and winning! Medicine, therapy, healing, RESET! Even if you don’t want to.
Fresh air is so necessary! We sometimes get so stuck inside our own heads and our own situations in our lives that we forget to take a break get outside and get some fresh air. This also gets us in a better state where we need to be in a better state to make any choices decisions, be productive or even just to be.
