Chodesh Shevat 5780 (January 27 - February 24) is Aquarius, the sign of the Jewish People, according to Abraham Ibn Ezra and others. Aquarius is called in Hebrew D’li, the water bucket. The B’nai Yissachar says: just as the bucket is the servant of the water, Israel is the servant of the Torah. What this means for us now is that we are to serve the Torah as a waiter serves customers in a restaurant, filling and refilling their water glasses throughout the meal. It's time for the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in Capricorn: Destruction of systems, structures and constrictions which previously seemed useful but are now exposed as impeding progress and prosperity. Separation of the essential / useful from that which no longer serves. This conjunction is the end of the Saturn-Pluto cycle which began in 1982/83, signaling the end of an era and the beginning of a new one, marked by collective and personal grief and loss over the destruction of the status-quo and the breakdown and failure of social and economic systems consolidating power and wealth in the hands of the few at the expense of the many. 

Transiting Mars in Sagittarius is astrological shorthand for "Holy War". With the upcoming Saturn-Pluto Conjunction and Uranus stationing Direct you can be sure the week of January 5-11, 2020 will feature the full spectrum of possible permutations of these turbulent energies: best case scenario would be universal righteous indignation and outrage over blatant injustice and a mass movement towards righting the wrongs of this world. Why is this Chodesh Tevet different than all other Tevets which have gone before? The entire year of 2020 is parenthetically enclosed by two tremendous events: The conjunction of Saturn to Pluto in January and the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in December. Chodesh Kislev (November 28 – December 27) is usually the most jovial of months, chiefly because Kislev’s ruling planet Jupiter (Tzedek) is connected to optimism, inspirational ideas, and hope. This year Kislev takes a turn towards the serious when Jupiter enters Saturn/Shabbtai-ruled Capricorn December 2, where he’ll be transiting until his conjunction to Saturn in Aquarius, the zodiac sign of the Jewish people, in December 2020. The Jupiter-Saturn “Great Conjunction” has been an important part of historic Jewish messianic speculation since the early Middle Ages.
