Women Saving The World
Our guest is ANDREA CONSTAND, author of the book, THE MOMENT (STANDING UP TO BILL COSBY/SPEAKING UP FOR WOMEN), who was one of 63 women who told how they'd been drugged and sexually assaulted by Bill Cosby.
Her testimony helped convince jurors in a Pennsylvania courtroom to convict Cosby on three counts of aggravated indecent assault in 2018. He was convicted and sentenced to serve three to 10 years in prison.LATER, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned that conviction, citing what the prosecutor called "a procedural issue."
Andrea also discusses her documentary, THE CASE AGAINST COSBY, providing intimate access to Constand and her family, revealing how one woman’s unstoppable courage and search for justice helped raise the voices of an entire generation of women seeking lasting change.
Woven throughout the stunning legal story are the first-person accounts of five other Cosby survivors, as they confront the impact of sexual trauma with world-renowned physician and best-selling author Gabor Maté, as we all bear witness to the power of healing as these women find strength in one other.
