The nonprofit organization is hosting a fundraising event on Saturday to support their community work.

Based on the biblical story of Esther, "For Such a Time as This," is a love story. Century 21 The Hills Realty's John Sawyer will give us a preview of Saturday's Farm and Ranch Expo at Schreiner University. The expo is a free event with many speakers who will discuss everything from managing wildlife to managing water on a farm or ranch.

The pair are riding in the "Bike MS: Texas 150-mile Ride," an event to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis. The ride starts in Houston and finishes in Austin. McHalffey and her husband, Chad, opened the business late last year, and it specializes in Southwestern-style furniture, pottery and other items. The story is near G Street and features plenty of color inside. Schreiner University's David Reast will join us at 9:30 a.m. to discuss a job fair the university is hosting on Wednesday. The two-day event is dubbed "Along The Silk Road" and will feature 250 juried quilts. Jennyth Peterson was previously on The Lead Live to discuss her opposition to a residential development in northwest Kerrville.
