Wrestler movies. A genre of its own, or perhaps a beautiful niche, as Louis and Kate bring you the joy and wonder of John Cena's second lead role in a feature film, 12 Rounds. A beautiful nonsense filled with bad FBI agents, Aiden Gillen devouring the scenery and the most absurdly funny death scene in a film that really isn't supposed to be. Enjoy the episode, and absolutely enjoy the movie.

Louis and Kate have a lovely chat about 1984 science fiction classic The Terminator, taking in great tension building, night shoots and the sheer James Cameronness of James Cameron. There's also talk of strangly comedic moments, and the sheer physical presence of the 7 time Mr Olympia turned Hollywood megastar Arnold Schwarzenegger in his most iconic role, and Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton get the plaudits they so richly deserve too.

As a special Christmas bonus, Louis and Kate are piloting something they have wanted to do for a while, Magnifisihite, where they go in on the films (and other things) that are magnificently shite, a unique and beautiful kind of awful. These aren't things they hate, (no vitriol here) but explorations of artisitic derangement, studio interference, immense cocaine usage or a combination of all three at the same time. There's cookies, reindeer violence and even an improvised explosive device, in this "family" picture.

Its Turbo Time, as this pilot episode is a Christmas bewilderment, 1996's Jingle All The Way, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Phil Hartman, Rita Wilson and Sinbad.

For the first (and definately not the last) time, Louis goes into the mind of one of gamings most unique individual, Hideo Kojima, and tells us all about 2019's Death Stranding, a videogame about a very efficient postman doing efficient postman things....of course, its a hell of a lot more than that, as Louis details. Death Stranding is somewhat divisive, but Louis is a paid up member of the Death Stranding defence force, and he is on the lookout for new recruits. BTW, no plot spoilers are discussed here, and there is also a surprising connection to episode 50.

In this episode, Louis brings one of both his, and his dad's, very favourite classic comedies, 1967's The Producers, starring Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder. The film, about two people who decide to try and make more money with a musical flop than with a hit in a big grift, is the debut feature of American comedy legend Mel Brooks, of Spaceballs, Blazing Saddles and RObin Hood: Men In Tights fame. Louis basically simps over Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel, and there's even a surprise appearance from Ned Flanders' dad as well as the House Unamerican Activities Committee.

Louis brings forth one of his childhood (and mid 20's) favourites, the BBC (and Channel 5) series Robot Wars, where people put their metallic and robotic creations to the test in a series of fights until there can be only one. Louis details his many reasons why the show brought him much joy. He even finds a way to settle some old emotional scores with some of the more controversial moments on the show.

Today's episode explores Louis' love of the cult comedy Office Space, directed by Mike Judge. Its brutal look at workplace frustration struck a chord with many and continues to be loved to this day. Louis and Kate look at the production details, characters, satirical points and even find time for an in depth conversation about what a pizza shooter and an extreme fajita might be. There's also a few comparisons with other workplace based media.

The album goes to some deeply spiritual and esoteric places lyrically, and the musicianship is truly sublime. Today, Kate brings Jamie Babbit's "But I'm A Cheerleader" to the podcast, a romantic comedy that takes a swipe at the ludicrous practice that is conversion therapy. Its a film that inspires a lot of joy and devotion from the LGBT+ community, and features some of the earliest work of incredible talents like Natasha Lyonne and Clea DuVall. The film also features a delightfully silly out-of-drag role from RuPaul Charles.

Today, Louis spreads the sugary word, as alternative rock legend and overlooked gay icon Bob Mould's 90's band Sugar gets a sweet moment in the podcasting spotlight. An album that Louis feels is deeply forgotton and overlooked, Sugar arrived in the aftermath of the split of Husker Du and after the musical landscape was irrevocably changed by some trio from Seattle called Nirvana, you may have heard of them somwhere. He also really zeroes in on some godawful puns this week, like a mediocre comedian from a third-rate panel show.
