Love in the time of Covid19 Ep17

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep17

Another episode of Love in the Time of Covid19! I go on about sex, and the lack thereof, with statistics to boot! Apparently we are knocking boots way less now. Shocker! I rant a little about dating practices and whether or not to share if you have kids, what's your position? I also dig in to the Grandpa Harold mailbag too, and read a sweet letter to Grandma Selma. Send me a note at loveinthetimeofcovid19@gmail.com. Follow along on instagram @lovecovidstyle, and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts! Wash your hands, wash and wear your mask, and stay well!

Back to our roots in this episode as we talk love, dating, and more with celebrity matchmaker and relationship expert Bonnie Winston! Bonnie has taken the time during the pandemic to donate her services to first and last responders!! Yes, you can get fixed up in the middle of a global pandemic! You can find her at bonniewinstonmatchmaker.com. Fingers crossed that Brad Pitt calls! If you've got any dating pickup stories, online dating cautionary tales, let's hear em! Send them to me at loveinthetimeofcovid19@gmail.com.  And do your part, stay distant, wash your hands, wear a mask, and stay well.

We do talk about some products that Dr. Renee recommends and there are links and special offers on her site.

I also share some of my animal drama, and a grab bag letter from Grandpa Harold that shakes me a little and requires some on the spot censoring!! Send any letters or comments to loveinthetimeofcovid19@gmail.com and subscribe to the podcast! Follow along on instagram @lovecovidstyle.

Stay distant, stay masked, stay woke, stay safe, and stay well!

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep13

This is not a regular episode because I just can't. Not today. I'm too angry and too scared and way too sad. I share with you some words I wrote years ago and some new words I keep seeing online, along with a list of names that shouldn't exist but does, that won't disappear anytime soon.

Stay well.

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep12

We get another rant from me in this week's episode, but it leads to a pretty awesome conversation with my friend Chris Baier and the work he and his family are doing to raise awareness about OCD. Take a walk, take me with you, and wear your mask!! Stay well. Julie

This episode has me losing it just a little because I'm tired. Really freaking tired. The good news is that there's also some love so don't worry, you'll get your letter! We go back to Grandpa Harold for this episode!

Stay safe and stay well!

Love in the time of Covid 19 Ep 10

This week's conversation wasn't an easy one (I cry) (twice), but it's an important one! Mandi Zucker, social worker specializing in grief recovery after a loss, breaks down the difference between grief and mourning, and shares the two words she believes we should remove from our vocabulary, and I think she's right! Grab a tissue and sit back and listen to our conversation and I do get to share a love letter too!

Send yours to loveinthetimeofcovid19@gmail.com!

Stay well,

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep 7

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep 7

We have our first ever Covid Correction in this episode, which involves a letter I read last week. We also go deep in to the world of a sober mom, with Leslie Shapiro, host of the podcast "Secrets of a Sober Mom". It's a heavy conversation, but an important one, especially for anyone who might be questioning they're drinking habits, or those of a loved one.

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy and minding your distance!! Subscribe and review and thanks for being here! Stay well, Julie

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep 5

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep 5

Still in lockdown, still socially distant, still needing some positivity and even some advice! In this episode I reach out to a friend, Karen Steinberg, for her expertise in family law as many are having to deal with custody and visitation issues during the pandemic. We also hear a beautiful love letter that Karen found, and I give yet another recommendation! Sit back and enjoy and wash your hands and don't touch your face!! Stay well.

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep 4

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep 4

It's been a couple weeks now and we are still pretty much in shut down mode as the numbers continue to climb, not only of those infected with Covid19, but the death rate is climbing as well. Names we know are popping up in the news of people who have passed away, and there are many faceless names we don't consider, many on the front lines of the pandemic. We are grateful to all the first responders and essential workers who are out there trying to maintain some normalcy in this difficult situation. There is some good news too! The number of cases of people recovering from the virus is also climbing and we are grateful for that!!

Let's focus on that and hop in to Episode 4 where I give some TV recommendations, and podcast recommendations, and even some home delivery suggestions!!

Wash hands and stay well!

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep. 3

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep. 3

Most of the country seems to be on lockdown right about now but there are still plenty who aren't taking the virus seriously and they seriously stink as humans. So to combat that, I am reading love letters!! I am also talking about dating and how we can try to do that safely. And even talking about love letters sent from parents to kids and kids to parents, because that kind of love is just as important if not more important than romantic love, because without it, we struggle to receive love from a romantic partner. Without going super deep, cuddle on up and tune in for another episode of me getting emotional, because who doesn't love that?!

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep 2

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep 2

In this episode, we have a little love from the past, a little love from some fiction, and a little love from a lost soul. Join me in finding some brightness in this dark and confusing time for many of us. Share with us some of your love history and email it loveinthetimeofcovid19@gmail.com. Send pictures and a little story about the lovebirds, too! Stay well!

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep. 1: Grandpa Harold and Johnny Cash

Love in the time of Covid19 Ep. 1: Grandpa Harold and Johnny Cash

In an anxious time filled with uncertainty and in many cases isolation, let's take some time to make romance go viral! Remember love letters? Remember communicating without hashtags and lol's? I will read love letters from my family's past, and love letters from some fairly well known people, and hopefully love letters that you send in! Email letters to loveinthetimeofcovid19@gmail.com. Include pictures of the letter, pictures of the lovebirds if you can, and anything about the letter and/or lovebirds that you would like shared on our next episode. Maybe even a special guest will stop by and read your letter! Let's practice social distancing together, and help flatten that curve of exposure by cuddling up and listening to an episode of Love in the time of Covid19.  In this first episode, I read a letter from my Grandfather written to my Grandmother while he's away during World War II, and a quick one from Johnny Cash to June Carter Cash! Hope you enjoy and get inspired to write your own!

Oh and wash your hands, please! Thanks for listening, and stay well! xx Julie
