In this Self Love Served Raw podcast episode, I discuss manifesting love, and how to use reflection and not to dwell. How do we start to manifest love while still loving ourselves?

• Start by reflecting on your relationship patterns. Our relationship patterns stem from our self-concept and how we identify ourselves in love and relationships (your "I am" statements about yourself.)
• Remember not to dwell on the past, what happened, what someone "did" you to, or circumstances, even if it's current circumstances.
• Be honest with yourself about how you show up, what you expect in relationships, and who you are ("I am") regarding relationships and love.
• Create "I am" statements that identify with the new you about love and relationships and dwell on those thoughts!

Are you doing self love wrong?

I asked myself this question recently. As someone who has a self love podcast and often admitted to being on a long, seemingly never-ending, self love journey, I've realized that continuously working on self love keeps you stuck. If you're constantly working on yourself, learning to love yourself, and trying to evolve, when are you living? When are you just being and embracing who you are, warts and all?

It's time to think about self love differently. Instead of looking at it as a process to perfection, decide to love yourself.

I am enough. You are enough. We do not have to continue to fix ourselves to live, love, and feel that we are loved.

If you've been on a self love journey, or even a healing journey, and want to stop striving for perfection, this is the podcast for you. Decide that you love yourself. It's Mercury Retrograde time and I've learned some lessons in self-love during this time of revising. I have done this (and you can too!) by reflecting on what makes me happy (hobbies, passion projects, friendships, and relationships) and deciding to revisit said things and people in hopes to reignite that spark. 

The trick to Mercury Retrograde (and learning these lessons in self-love during this time) is to bring back what is for our highest good and leave the rest behind. For me, that is writing. I abandoned it months ago (and I have time and time again) because I don't get quick enough results for writing on my blog (results = money!). But guess what? Mercury Retrograde reminded me that I am damn good at it and that I also love it and, in turn, love myself more when I write. It brings me joy and fills me with confidence. 

So, in this episode, I ask you, what do you have to eliminate from your life that is a pattern? What do you need to revive? What do you need to do again but differently? 

I am doing this writing thang differently this time - with no pressure! I am giving myself a lot more grace and space to experiment with all the genres that I love.

On this new segment of Self-Law Served Raw called "Reality TV Obsessed," I am dishing on Sunday's RHOA episode (March 21, 2021) and sharing my thoughts on Latoya's "betrayal," Latoya's thirtiness, Drew's son "old daddy," and, yes, Fallon's Halloween party with not a fun game or guest (other than the RHOA cast) in sight. And, of course, we're dragging Latoya for her loud and relentless mouth. Again, THIRSTY.

In order to connect we have to disconnect. That's exactly what I did on Instagram. And it's not a hiatus, y'all. I basically said, "Bye Instagram!" much like Ken Todd of RHOB said, "Bye, Kyle!" #NeverForget

In this podcast episode, I share the realizations that led to my decision to disconnect to connect. Perhaps this podcast episode will inspire you to disconnect from something or someone that is hindering you from true inner connection and being present with loved ones. I know that disconnecting from Instagram has set me free. Free from the need to be "liked" and from the obsessive status checks and scrolling. I am more connected to myself, my son, my friends, and family, and even have found more time to focus on what I love to do - create and write.

RHOA's Kenya Moore keeps slut shaming over Bolo! Who's Bolo? The stripper that graced the RHOA with his larger-than-life bolo. I was scared, y'all! And in today's episode, I dig into why we need Kenya Moore on RHOA and also why her slut shaming is truly problematic. 

As a former slut shamer myself, I get the inclination to judge women who want to let their freak flag fly but it's truly not supportive of women's sexual independence and liberation. Do you need a Plan B career? If your dream career and life (plan A) hasn't panned out just yet or as you expected, that answer is "yes"! You need a Plan B career in the meantime to hold you down financially. You heard me right, in the meantime. I do not believe in giving up on our Plan A ever. We just need to sustain ourselves until our dream career is lucrative enough.

A Plan B career should not take all of your time and energy, it should not be difficult to get into professionally, and it should be something you're good at and that you enjoy.
