#7 International Women's Day Message: I Choose to Challenge
Dearest Divine Lights, Episode 7. Will you choose to challenge gender inequality and domestic violence facing women within your community? Please take a moment to listen to today's message and also take INSPIRED ACTION! What can you do to SUPPORT women in your life and within your community who you suspect or know for a fact are experiencing abuse of any kind? 1. CALL her and let her know you are available to talk to her about anything. 2. Create safety signals between the two of you as a form of protection. 3. Create a list of support and resources online and off that are easily accessible for her to access when needed. She may not have access to the Internet. For women experiencing emotional abuse and cannot seek help and support because of the pandemic: 1. Please be patient and compassionate towards yourself. Try to get enough rest, get out for fresh air to help clear your mind. 2. When you can try to take a moment to meditate or simply focus on something, anything that is uplifting and positive to you. 3. Reach out and get the support you DESERVE! If resources in your community are limited because of the pandemic, please reach out to a trusted friend or family member you can rely upon. Topic: Grieving a Toxic Relationship - The 6-Stages Dearest Divine Light, Welcome back to the Light Your Divine Path Podcast - Episode 6. This week we will be delving into the topic of Grieving a Toxic Relationship -What to Expect at Each Stage. Grieving a toxic relationship is not a pleasant experience, nor is the process of grieving the loss of a toxic relationship a linear one. I’ve mentioned before in a previous article entitled Letting Go of a Toxic Relationship – What You Need to Know that “letting go of a toxic relationship isn’t an easy process and most definitely doesn’t go through the ebbs and flow of a ‘normal’ breakup from someone who is otherwise emotionally intelligent and stable.” When we grieve the loss of someone significant, such as an intimate partner, some individuals will experience 6-stages of grieving, and with time, we will eventually heal and gradually move on with our lives. But when you are healing your heart after experiencing emotional abuse moving through each stage must be handled with patience and compassion towards yourself. In today's episode I cover the following stages: 1. Shock and Embarrassment 2. Denial and Resistance 3. Bargaining and Compromising Your Values 4. Loneliness and Isolation 5. Eventual Acceptance 6. #3 Emotional Abuse is Still Abuse
Dearest Divine Light, Episode 3. In this week's podcast, I am tackling the touchy, and some may argue, controversial topic of Emotional R. Syndrome... Ever heard of it? I've personally experienced it, but at the time I didn't know it was an actual syndrome because of being in an emotionally abusive relationship. It's a heavy and touchy topic, but I wouldn't be doing my due diligence as a Feminine Empowerment Life Coach if I did not openly speak up about this issue that many women who have experienced being in a toxic relationship have likely experienced some or all of the complications associated with the phenomena of Emotional R. Syndrome.
