25. Exploring Krupa Patel’s Journey to Medicine
Join us for a conversation with M1 student Krupa Patel of Michigan Medicine. In this conversation Krupa and Gerald explore the beginnings of Krupa’s interest in Medicine and how intentional decision making led her to discovering her passion in medicine. Krupa talks in great detail about the importance and intersectionality of community involvement which has resulted in the birth of the Lunar Doula Collective with her colleagues as pre-med students at Michigan. Gerald and Dr. Jamye Banks explore the challenges racially marginalized students experience on campus and how students who identify within this demographic can persist through these challenges.
