Season 2 : Meet … Adong

Judith Adong is not only a phenomenal creative but the First Ugandan named Prince Claus Laureate (2018). She creates captivating plays and films that provoke and promote dialogue on social issues affecting underprivileged groups. She comes to film with a theatre background, where she has written, directed and produced over 15 theatre projects and trained over 40 theatre directors across the African continent under her annual Theatre Directors Apprenticeship Program. She is also a published writer with 22 publications – 20 Children’s storybooks on the Uganda National Primary Schools Syllabus and 2 plays. Her plays have been presented in different theatres in New York, London, Toronto, Chicago, the Bloomington, Cape Town and Harare, and are taught in several American universities including Ivy League Universities like Princeton University, Dartmouth University and New York University, where she has occasionally been as a visiting artist.
