99. Conquer Your Fears and Get Good at Sales w/ Stephen Flemings
It's time to finally welcome my former boss and now fencing buddy, Stephen Flemings, to the podcast! As a partner and head of services at Yellow Line Digital, Stephen taught me almost everything I know about creating and launching a sales campaign. Throughout this podcast, we discuss how he overcame adversity throughout many companies until he came to Yellow Line, the steps you should take when you're beginning to sell a product or service, and what he thought about me when the first time he met me. One Habit You Can Learn from Stephen When Stephen sells you, you don't even realize you're being sold. One of the first things I noticed about him is how slowly he takes sales calls. He'll chat about their family, where they're from, the company, and everything else...all while keeping meticulous notes of their answers to reference and bring up later. Being a high energy person myself, I personally built the habit of not rushing through sales calls (especially first contact) because of him. My personal rule: breathe before answering them. They'll either keep on talking, or you just gave yourself some time to think of a good reply. Win-win. Links Discussed Yellow Line Digital Connect with Stephen on LinkedIn

96. Your Voice Matters
Welcome to the Confidence Mindset for this week where I'm drilling into this idea into you: your voice has worth. What you say matters. I had to speak to graduate psychology classes, appear on panels alongside experts with more PhDs and decades of experience than I might ever have, and personally coach hundreds to overcome their extreme challenges to find success...all as a teenager. But the one thing I've always held on to during these times is that I know myself, and I know that my words have value.

51. Stop Complaining and Take Action
I've given certain friends an ultimatum. If I ever begin needlessly complaining, they have every right to smack me across the face. Thankfully, they've never had cause to act upon my request. I know you want to move forward. I know you want to find success in some way or another. And you know what? Nothing is going to happen until you drop your complaining and excuses and you start taking action. Stop asking someone to do something and instead be that someone. 47. Create Epic Videos for YouTube (and Get Them Found)
Whether you want to grow as a public speaker or something else, videos have become almost necessary to building a personal brand. But if you're like me, I was kept back from making videos because I was obsessed that the quality wasn't right, that it was too late to become known on YouTube, or the million other excuses I gave myself. I overcame these excuses though and simplified the video creation process so anyone with a phone and determination can do it.

46. Proving Yourself to Experts as a Young Speaker
Today, I'm finally sharing something that I've used for my entire professional career. So in this episode, I'm breaking down how I've "proven myself" and gained respect from older people with more experience and knowledge than me.

42. Tesla is Selling Surfboards? | Marketing New & You
When I'm selling a product or service, the first thing I do is think about what else can I sell along with it. Because when you're running a business, you need every single dollar you can make, especially when you're just starting out. Elon Musk is a great example of this. You might have seen the Tesla surfboard that was just released...and sold out immediately. The same thing happened with the "Not-a-Flamethrower". Not only did this garner a HUGE amount of media attention, but I wouldn't doubt they made a profit as well. So, don't be content with just selling one thing. See what else your ideal customer would be likely to buy and use those add-ons to grow your business.

38. Fancy Toys Don't Make You a Public Speaker
Last week, I was invited last minute to host a booth at an event. And because of how late it was, I had no time to get the supplies necessary to set up a professional looking table. So, instead of just feeling sorry for myself, I solved the problem. This is something I see in so many people wanting to do something (anything really), but feeling like they have to have everything in place before they start. The myth of perfection stops so many people from achieving their dreams, and in this episode, I give some examples on how you can get past this.
