A.B. Newton & Company- a company started as a salute to their hometown with designs that are a mix of modern and vintage that expanded to now others wanting their own hometown being celebrated.
I got to spend my lunch break with Will Blaine, Andrew Crabtree, and Matthew Peacock, the owners and designers of A.B. Newton & Company.  A.B. Newton & Company creates unique apparel and home decor items that give a modern edge to vintage styles. I spoke to the guys about why they started A.B. Newton and if it was difficult in adding a third owner to the business.  We discussed how they setup at the Winter Garden Farmer's Market to sell their items and get customer feedback.   We also spoke about dividing the work and growing where they have employees in helping.  How they started doing their City Series Art prints and how it expanded their reach and customers.  We also discussed how they are set up wholesale, on their website, etsy and also in some brick and mortar locations along with aspirations for their own storefront.   Lunch with Biggie is an Orlando podcast about small business and creatives sharing their stories and inspiring you to pursue your passion, with some sandwich talk on the side. Gideon's Bakehouse: A personal quest for the perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie that has lead from pop up success to opening up a sweet new location at Disney Springs & staying true to his original process
I got to spend my lunch break with Steve Lewis of Gideon's Bakehouse, A small local bakery creating big things. On a quest for the perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie for himself, 15 years and thousands of tests later, his work was complete. Their cookie isn't just a product. In October 2016, Gideon’s opened up its first physical shop at the beautiful East End Market, Central Florida’s original food hall, with one employee and an $800 budget. Within weeks of opening, their little 286 square foot bakery was being called Best Cookies in Orlando, Florida, the United States, and the Planet Earth from publications ranging from New York Times to The Boston Globe, Sports Illustrated, Delish.com and countless more. Their growth and popularity has lead to their new flagship store opening June 2020 in Disney Springs. I spoke to Steve about how he came up with his cookie 20+ hr cookie recipe and how his cookies became close to 1/2 lb in weight.  When he knew this was what he wanted to do.  How even with all his growth he has remained consistent & staying true to the original process, cutting no corners, and still putting every handmade detail into the 20 hours required to prepare a single almost half pound Cookie or a tall slice of Cake. I  asked Steve what advise he would offer someone starting and already in business.  As well as, what his new location at Disney Springs has allowed him to expand his brand and Gideon's Universe. Team Fat Kid: Their Journey from Food to Podcast to Food Truck on Food Network
I got to spend my lunch break with the guys from Team Fat Kid, a Podcast/Food Truck.  I talk with the guys about going from a passion of food to starting a podcast to opening a Food Truck and being on Food Network. Lunch with Biggie is an Orlando podcast about small business and creatives sharing their stories and inspiring you to pursue your passion, with some sandwich talk on the side. Created, edited and produced by Biggie- owner of the sandwich themed clothing brand- Deli Fresh Threads. A quick intro about Lunch with Biggie
Just a quick introduction where I tell you why I started Lunch with Biggie.  I also tell you what to expect from the show and my guests. (Don't worry no sandwich eating (ASMR) was done during the show).
