In this short story, Sarah and Dennis is expecting a baby. During the story, we learn more about their relationship and quickly learn that their relationship is anything but loving and this child may be born into a dangerous situation.

A woman is looking through a box of old photos of her and her ex-boyfriend Liam. The photos bring back memories of their nine years together, including trips to various places and special moments they shared. Emma is saddened by the fact that they never got engaged, despite being together for such a long time. Later, Emma discovers on Instagram that Liam has proposed to a woman and Emma becomes curious about her. She looks at the woman's Instagram profile and sees that Liam has been with her for a fraction of the time she was with Liam. Emma is devastated but continues to look at the photos, hoping to numb the pain with red wine.

In this short story, Molly Mouse has been eyeing the cheese at the Smith house all winter. She was happy when she was able to wake Bruce Bear who can scare the family away, providing all the cheese and all the honey that Molly Mouse and Bruce Bear could possibly want.

Lila confides in Michelle about a secret she knows. Michelle decides to flip a coin to decide whether to tell someone about it or not. Lila begs her not to, but Michelle decides to tell the woman on the other side of the bar.

Adrian, a woman who has dreamed of fashion since childhood but was forced by her parents into another life. When she becomes engaged to her boyfriend, Alexander, she scrimps and saves to fly to Paris and have Pierre Mountblac, her favorite designer, create her custom wedding dress. At the atelier for her fitting, she describes the dress of her dreams. Adrian realized that her dream dress was not what she expected. Adrian is devastated and feels like she looks like a "child cupcake."

Discovering how to travel can be difficult. In this short story, after meeting a stranger in a Cafe in Athens, not only does the narrirator learn how to navigate Greece on a solo trip but she also learns the tips and tricks to become a citzen of the world.

Jay tells Vanessa to pack a bag, and they go on a road trip, where he informs her that her father has died. Jay confesses to killing her father prevent him from taking Vanessa away. Vanessa is shocked at first but brushes it off , and they plan their next move, deciding to stick together and run away from the law. 

Jenny started an Instagram profile, JenVogue, which quickly gained a large following, and led to  endorsement deals with various companies. She made enough money to quit her job and become a full time Instagram model.  However, after eight years, her followers have stopped growing, and  existing followers have dropped. As a result, many of her endorsement  deals have ended, and she is left with only a few. Jenny is worried  about how she will pay for her extravagant life. In an effort to gain more followers, she continues to post heavily photoshopped pictures of herself, get an unhealthy amount of exercise, and lie to her  friends about her plans all while not feeling content with her life.

Angela and her young siblings, Johnny and Priscilla, are living in poverty with no parental supervision. Angela wakes up to a cold morning, and the fire has gone out and the food in the pantry is low. Angela then decides to do something fun with her siblings and announces a treasure hunt. The children imagine themselves as pirates and Angela draws a map, and the children set off on their treasure hunt.  The story highlights the struggles of a poor family, where even milk is a luxury. Angela's responsible and caring nature is evident as she takes care of her siblings and tries to provide them with a sense of adventure despite their circumstances.

After being forced together during their son's wedding after a long time of being divorced, Justine and Geoff reflect on what went wrong in their marriage.

Leo has a failing marriage with his wife, Charlotte. Leo has been secretly seeing other women behind Charlotte's back. He has a revolving door of women. But he is not bothered by the fact that Charlotte might find out about his extramarital affairs. He's content with having  the best of both worlds, the sex life of a bachelor and the security  blanket with Charlotte. However, when Charlotte eventually decides to act on his infidelities, he reflects on his marriage.

A man has been wrongly imprisoned for eleven years, and has finally been released.  While he waits to be released, he reflect on how they ended up in prison and the hardships they faced while incarcerated. He then leaves the prison and steps out into the  outside world for the first time in over a decade, feeling overwhelmed  and unsure of what to do next.

A farmer named Jimmy and his wife Carol, face a series of setbacks  on their farm. It begins with Jimmy's success growing wheat, which  allows him to expand the farm and purchase new equipment. However, the market becomes over saturated with wheat, causing the price to drop  dramatically. Jimmy is forced to stop planting wheat and consider switching to a different crop, but the drought makes it impossible for  anything to grow.  

This short story by Madeline Honig is about a couple, Paige and Matt, who are planning their wedding with the help of a famous wedding planner, Antonio. Paige is hesitant about the extravagance of the wedding, which is being heavily influenced by both her mother and Matt's parents, all of whom are wealthy and competitive with each other. The couple had previously considered eloping, but feel pressure to have a grand celebration. Antonio presents his ideas for the wedding, including an archway, white petals, doves, white cats, and possibly even a white tiger.  Paige and Matt are left feeling overwhelmed and unsure if they really want this lavish wedding or if they should elope as they originally desired.

In this short story, Billy and Allison meet at a rock show and spend the night together. The next day, they go to a sports bar to watch a football game. They chat and smoke cigarettes outside during a commercial break. Billy tells her about his life but she can't seem to open up. The story starts with a potential romantic relationship between the two characters, but ends poorly for both parties.
