Outdoorsman Jeremiah VoitHofer of Mountain Top Outdoors joins the Maglite Podcast where he talks about the show and his adventures including hunting. His show on the sportsman channel takes him all over the country where he meets people who use Maglite’s all the time in the course of their daily lives.  He also explains the importance of having a reliable source of light when you are going to be in the back country for days at a time.  He closes with a discussion of the contest and product giveaway that is coming up by mountaintop outdoors/ Maglite.

Michael St. John is an expert in the field of recovering kidnapped and murdered persons.  He details his work on the case of the Trailside Killer who assaulted and murdered women hikers and joggers in Northern California and was eventually caught and exposed as a man by the name of David Carpenter.

You want to complicate an already dangerous search and rescue mission?  Just add darkness.  Michael St. John talks in this episode about the complicated arena of nighttime search and rescue and why you need a Maglite.

The story of the deadly El Capitan rescue continues as Michael St. John describes the dangers his teams faced as they tried to get frozen climbers off a rock face wall thousands of feet in the air.  Tragically, not everyone would make it out alive.

Mountain search and rescue is mentally and physically exhausting.  But someone has to do it.  In this episode Michael St. John talks about getting the call to attempt a search and rescue on El Capitan at Yosemite national Park and the approach his team took to accomplishing the mission.

The fire gets worse, firefighters are seemingly trapped inside a collapsing structure.  Lives are now on the line of the firefighters themselves and as help begins to arrive everything hangs in the balance.

A horrific fast moving fire is ripping through a row of townhomes with people trapped inside.  Chief Mills must manage this crisis with a team of all volunteer firefighters including a rookie who has never seen a live fire.  The race is on to put out the fire and stay alive themselves.

In his final episode officer Layman describes his family’s long-commitment to law enforcement and how he used his Father’s Maglite when he first began his career.  The same Maglite his dad had used on the force for decades.

It's usually all or nothing.”
