Episode 62: WWF SummerSlam 1991
It's the Match Made in Heaven and the Match Made in Hell! The Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth have their wedding in the ring to close this show and the actual main event is Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior taking on The Triangle of Terror (Sgt. Slaughter, Gen. Adnan, & Col. Mustafa) in a Handicap Match! The wrestling world was a little weird in 1991. This show in particular would be a turning point for the WWF where the Ultimate Warrior would get fired directly after his match, the Macho Man was asked to step back into the ring, and many feuds were shaken up. Also on this show was the heating up of a feud between the Legion of Doom and the Natural Disasters, the Nasty Boys also defending their WWF Tag-Team Titles against the LOD, and The Big Boss Man battling it out with The Mountie to see who will spend a night in jail! Episode 61: WCW New Blood Rising 2000
WCW was a coffin on roller skates at this point and had been for quite a while. While this didn't win any Worst Major Wrestling Show of the Year awards, it was certainly in contention. We have an ROTC (Rip of the Camouflage) match where a woman fakes a miscarriage, The Demon and Sting wrestle for less than a minute, Great Muta is part of the Dark Carnival, Goldberg refuses to follow the script, and Vince Russo's fingerprints are dirtying this entire show up! What the hell have the Marks (Troy & Greg) gotten themselves into with this review? Episode 60: WWE Money in the Bank 2011
It's been an entire decade since this fateful event! This was the night CM Punk's contract ran out at midnight and he walked out with the WWE Title. At least...in storyline. In 2011, CM Punk was the leader of the New Nexus after former members Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, and Heath Slater went from Raw to SmackDown to form The Corre with Ezekiel Jackson. After dropping the infamous Pipebomb Promo on an episode of Raw, Punk announced that his contract would be coming to an end on the same night he got a "title opportunity" against WWE Champion, John Cena. That night just so happened to be at Money in the Bank in Punk's hometown of Chicago. The match was great and the atmosphere was electric! Also taking place this night was two Money in the Bank Ladder matches--one for Raw and one for SmackDown. Relive the magic of this event with the Marks, Troy & Greg! BONUS: Diesel's 1995 in WWF
1995 gets a lot of guff from wrestling fans, us include, and for good reason. The entire year throughout ECW, WCW, and WWF was completely horrible. "Big Daddy Cool" Diesel, however, gets a lot of the blame from the wrestling community for awful crowds, awful numbers, and awful shows while he reigned as WWF Champion throughout the year. Because of this, the Marks (Troy & Greg) take a look at all of Diesel's matches, storylines, appearances, and more throughout 1995 to see if they can justify shifting some of that blame off of Big D's shoulders. Episode 59: WWF InVasion 2001
It's been 10 years since this pay-per-view took place! 2001 was a weird, weird year in the wrestling world. Both ECW and WCW finally shut their doors and their properties were bought up by Vince McMahon and the WWF. In storyline, WCW was owned by Shane McMahon and ECW was owned by Stephanie McMahon with Paul Heyman by her side. This began the infamous Invasion Storyline, where ECW and WCW teamed up to take on the WWF. No one could trust anybody as alliances would shift from the World Wrestling Federation to The Alliance, and this show is no different. The Marks (Troy & Greg) run down the highest-grossing pay-per-view in WWF history (outside of WrestleManias) from a decade ago! Episode 58: TNA Destination X 2011
By the summer of 2011, Immortal had taken over TNA and Fortune had went full-on babyface. Abyss was the attack dog for Immortal to take down the X-Division, and he won the title, recristening it The X-Treme Title. Now, it's up to Brian Kendrick to redeem the X-Division at their own pay-per-view! Also, AJ Styles had been teasing a big match, which everyone thought would be a rematch from Unbreakable 2005. However, he left out Samoa Joe and instead challenged Christopher Daniels to a match in the main event of the yearly X-Division showcase. We also get to see an Ultimate X match and RVD vs Jerry Lynn for the first time since ECW closed! The Marks (Troy & Greg) also discuss the passing of "Macho Man" Randy Savage, the recent passing of The Patriot, CM Punk possibly leaving the WWE and making homophobic comments, and Scott Hall being arrested for being drunk...again. Episode 57: WCW Bash at the Beach 1996 (The NWO is Born)
If you don't know this show, you're either not a wrestling fan or you just started watching. Bash at the Beach 1996 had a pretty good undercard, including Rey Mysterio Jr. vs Psychosis and Dean Malenko vs Disco Inferno, but the entire night was building up to the main event. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash recently made the jump from the WWF to WCW, shocking the wrestling world, and then they teased a third man to join their crew. Sting, Lex Luger, and Randy Savage led the charge against The Outsiders in the 6-man main event, but the question remained...who is that third man!? Troy & Greg talk about history in the making on this show, along with all the news and notes from the wrestling world leading up to the show! Episode 56: TNA Slammiversary XI (2013)
Aces & Eights were running the show in TNA in 2013. Bully Ray had revealed himself as the mastermind of the entire operation, multiple members of the TNA roster defected, and no one knew if they could trust the newly returned, dark, brooding AJ Styles. The only person willing to stand tall for truth, justice, and TNA against Bully Ray and the Aces & Eights was Sting. Meanwhile, Kurt Angle sets out to stop any momentum AJ Styles may have dead in its tracks. On top of that, Joseph Park claims he hasn't seen his brother, Abyss, yet whenever he bleeds, he psyches out an a rage similar to that of Abyss. Could that spell DOOMSDAY for D-Von's TV Title reign? In the Knockouts Division, Taryn Terrell has shed her referee stripes to compete against Gail Kim in a Last Knockouts Standing match. Plus, the TNA Tag Titles are on the line in a 4-way elimination tag match, the X-Division Title is defended in Ultimate X, and much more!SUBSCRIBE TO FUBOTV: fubo.tv/welcome?irad=34GET YOUR SPORTS SWAG ON FANATICS: fanatics.ncw6.net/jxzKMLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 8PM EST: unhingedsn.com/FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.comEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

BONUS: WCW Great American Bash 2000 (The Last One)
For this bonus show, we bring you one of the worst pay-per-views in history. Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff were both steering the ship in World Championship Wrestling, but Russo was hard at work, steering it into the nearest iceberg he could find. Hollywood Hogan was locked into a feud with Billy Kidman, Booker T was G.I. Bro, the Misfits In Action were running wild, Disqo was embarrassing himself with the Filthy Animals, Jeff Jarrett was on his "reign of terror," DDP was being turned on every single month by everyone in his life, the New Blood was running roughshod over everyone and everything, and there's a "surprise" turn/swerve to close the show that may have been one of the dumbest things in the history of WCW. This is only a taste of the insanity of this show! Bonus to this show: Someone gets set on fire and are GONE FOREVAH, BRO! No, but seriously. Episode 55: WWF King of the Ring 1996
We're continuing on with our walk through the year 1996 in WWE. This event was the birth of Austin 3:16 and "That's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold said so!" after Steve Austin defeated Jake "The Snake" Roberts in the finals of the King of the Ring tournament. Shawn Michaels also defends the WWF Title against the British Bulldog in a rematch from Beware of Dog that blew their first encounter away. The Undertaker and Mankind attempt to rip each other apart. The Godwinns try to get revenge against The Smoking Gunns and Sunny. Jerry "The King" Lawler attempts to make The Ultimate Warrior look good in the ring. Also, after kissing Ahmed Johnson, Goldust has to defend his golden Intercontinental Title against him. This event was great and historic! Episode 54: WCW Great American Bash 1991
This was the Great American Bash that advertised Ric Flair...but didn't deliver Ric Flair! "The Nature Boy" had recently been fired before this show after being advertised to defend the NWA Title against Lex Luger in a cage. He'd soon be popping up in the WWF. In a scramble, WCW decided to make a new World Title and replace Flair with Barry Windham. All in all, this event was weird. It starts with a Scaffold Match, it ends with an Mixed Tag Cage Match (sort of), and there's a lot of craziness in between with a Russian Chain Match, El Gigante vs One Man Gang, the Rock n Roll Express facing each other, Ron Simmons having to face Zeus, the Diamond Studd vs The Z-Man, Johnny B. Badd debuting against the Yellow F'n Dog, Big Josh taking on Blackblood in a (what else?) Episode 53: WWF King of the Ring 1993 (1 Year Anniversary Show)
To celebrate our 1 year anniversary of podcasting, we're covering the very first ever WWF King of the Ring PPV from 1993! This was certainly a showcase for Bret Hart to show that he was WWF's answer to Ric Flair as the true Iron Man, it was a great introduction of Jerry Lawler as an in-ring competitor, Yokozuna battles for heel supremacy yet again, and this was Hulk Hogan's final appearance for the WWF until No Way Out 2002. It's 5 years of TNA, and we're celebrating it on our final show of our first year of podcasting! America's Most Wanted defends the NWA Tag Titles against AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels in an amazing match, Scott Steiner and Samoa Joe shockingly tear the house down, Kevin Nash pretends he's an X-Division star as he faces Chris Sabin, and the main event is the super confusing King of the Mountain match that ends...interestingly. Christian Cage puts his NWA Title on the line against Sting, Jeff Jarrett, Ron Killings, and Abyss in that reverse ladder match with other convoluted rules. Check it out! Episode 51: AWA SuperClash II
The second of 4 SuperClash events had what should have been the main event smack dab in the middle of the card. The AWA Title was defended by Nick Bockwinkel against Curt Hennig, years before he would go on to become Mr. Perfect in the WWF. The crazy thing about this match is that Curt played the heel while Nick played the babyface. Also on this card were the Midnight Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty), Ray "Crippler" Stevens, "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, Sherri Martel (before she became "Sensational"), Madusa Miceli (the future Alundra Blayze), and Russ Francis of the San Francisco 49ers. It wasn't a fantastic show, by any means, but it was historic. There was also a lot of HUGE wrestling news going on at this time, like Bill Watts' territory selling out, the fallout from WrestleMania III, and much more in April and May of 1987.SUBSCRIBE TO FUBOTV: fubo.tv/welcome?irad=34GET YOUR SPORTS SWAG ON FANATICS: fanatics.ncw6.net/jxzKMLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 8PM EST: unhingedsn.com/FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.comEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Extreme Championship Wrestling was more than just circling the drain at this point. TNN announced that they would be dropping ECW TV and picking up WWF Raw is War in the fall, ECW couldn't hold onto talent as they were leaving for greener pastures, their relationship with FMW was falling apart, and there were more and more money issues each week. This show managed to sell out in Milwaukee, however, and was a fitting end to Lance Storm's run in ECW as he main evented against former tag-team partner, ECW Champion Justin Credible. This was was also billed as having three main events, with Rhino defending the TV Title against the Sandman and Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn both returning to the ring to do battle against one another. Episode 50: NWA Capital Combat 1990 (The Return of RoboCop)
It's a combo of movies and pro wrestling as the Turner-owned WCW (NWA?) promotes the new RoboCop movie...on pay-per-view...in the worst way possible! But besides RoboCop and his unfortunate appearance, WCW is in disarray as they're changing bookers, trying to shed the NWA name, and Sting isn't quite back in the ring from getting his knee torn up. This main event was almost ruined by an injury as well, as Lex Luger was fighting for his life in a hospital bed for 2 weeks with a staph infection before this cage match with Ric Flair for the World Heavyweight Title. It was the 2-night event that wasn't supposed to be a 2-night event in South Carolina! This was the infamous show where a severe storm knocked out building's power and the WWF wasn't prepared with good enough generators for the lights and their cameras. We got the opening match, the main event, and everything else was redone two nights later. Also, a lot of things changed between the two nights with Monday Night Raw in between. The Marks discuss this, about how Shawn Michaels was starting to lose his smile...again...and what was happening with Vader as the World Wrestling Federation was building him up. Episode 48: WCW SuperBrawl I (Return from the Rising Sun)
This was the first ever SuperBrawl and the only one to take place in May. There were so many future main event stars and future undercard jokes on this card for both WCW and the WWF. There were also two big-name tag-team stars that were going solo with MUCH different results. On top of all of this, it was Ric Flair's final WCW pay-per-view appearance for two years as he would leave for the WWF (with the Big Gold Belt) not too long after this historic match with fellow WWF Hall of Famer Tatsumi "The Dragon" Fujinami. That being said, even the good stuff on this show felt like it could have been much, much better, making for a show that the Marks (Troy & Greg) sum up with "meh."SUBSCRIBE TO FUBOTV: fubo.tv/welcome?irad=34GET YOUR SPORTS SWAG ON FANATICS: fanatics.ncw6.net/jxzKMLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 8PM EST: unhingedsn.com/FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.comEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 47: WWF In Your House 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies
WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and Diesel made good friends, but made better enemies! This was the final WWF pay-per-view appearance for both Diesel and Razor Ramon before they went on to WCW to make history. This In Your House was certainly unique because it was thick with the New Generation Era, had traces of the Golden Age, and definitely had signs of what was to come with the Attitude Era. Also, the main event had some moments that would go down in history. BONUS: WWF Raw is War, 4-13-98 (The 83 Weeks Snapper)
For 83 straight weeks, WCW Monday Nitro was pounding WWF Raw is War like a drum! However, by April of 1998, the tide was turning. WrestleMania 14 was a HUGE success with the crowning of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as the new top guy and face of the company, Undertaker and Kane continued their collision course with each other, the Rock took over the Nation of Domination and kicked out Faarooq, and D-Generation X was trying desperately to be heels while getting cheered every week. All of these elements are played up on this Raw, on top of a growing storyline with Cactus Jack. It was all topped off, however, with the promise of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin defending his WWF World Heavyweight Title against Mr. McMahon in the main event. Episode 46: TNA Lockdown 2011 (Immortal vs Fortune)
On this 10 year anniversary, we're covering the 7th annual TNA Lockdown event! Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan turned heel back at Bound for Glory 2010 (now in the archives) to form their new group, Immortal. Ric Flair has turned on his group, Fortune, to join up with the super heel group of Immortal, which turned Fortune into babyfaces. That leads to their clash in the Lethal Lockdown main event! We're also not very far removed from the absolute train wreck that was Victory Road 2011, where Jeff Hardy stumbled to the ring in no condition to compete, leading to Sting holding him down for a 3-count in their TNA Title match in less than 2 minutes. So now, Sting is defending that TNA Title against Rob Van Dam and Mr. Anderson while an angry Hulk Hogan plots against the Stinger. Also on this card is the Ultra Male Rules match as Kurt Angle takes on the man who stole away his wife, Jeff Jarrett. The feud is super uncomfortable and whacky, and it's so, so personal on and off screen. Episode 45: WCW Spring Stampede 1994
WCW had just signed Hulk Hogan, but he wouldn't yet appear on pay-per-view for the Atlanta-based wrestling promotion. In this very first ever Spring Stampede show, WCW went back to "old faithful" with putting Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat against each other for the World Title in a main event straight out of 1989 (Chi-Town Rumble, to be exact). Also on the undercard were the Nasty Boys taking on Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne in a wild Street Fight, Dustin Rhodes and Buckhouse Buck in a bloody Bunkhouse match, Steven Regal defending his TV Title against Brian Pillman, Steve Austin defending his US Title against Great Muta, and Rick Rude's final WCW pay-per-view wrestling appearance against Sting for the International World Heavyweight Title (big gold). Episode 44: TNA Lockdown 2006 (ft. Jimmy Pallotto from the Unhinged Sports Network)
It was the second TNA Lockdown event ever, held just weeks after WrestleMania 22! Top to bottom, this all-cage pay-per-view has a lot of offer to a variety of fans and was actually a damn good and memorable show, topped off with Lethal Lockdown (their version of War Games). Jimmy Pallotto, who's a sports expert from the Unhinged Sports Network, stops by to fill in for one of the Marks, Greg, on this episode. He was more of a WWE fan at this time, but he loves looking back at classic TNA, as does host Troy.SUBSCRIBE TO FUBOTV: fubo.tv/welcome?irad=34GET YOUR SPORTS SWAG ON FANATICS: fanatics.ncw6.net/jxzKMLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 8PM EST: unhingedsn.com/FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.comEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 43: WWE WrestleMania 21 (WrestleMania Goes Hollywood)
WrestleMania went Hollywood back in 2005, just weeks before TNA held their first ever all-cage match pay-per-view, Lockdown. This is also the second WrestleMania in a row to break the trend of stadiums in favor of an arena. The story of this event is really "trying something new." The first ever Money in the Bank match takes place and two brand new up-and-coming champions were crowned. There were also a ton of celebrities in attendance, almost every match on the card was a banger, AND you get to see the Big Show wearing a diaper for a sumo wrestling match! BONUS: TNA Destination X 2006
This was certainly a fun event for anyone who likes classic TNA. Christian Cage defends his NWA Title in the main event against "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown, Samoa Joe defends his X-Division Title against AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels in an Ultimate X match, the World X Cup is decided, Jeff Jarrett's crew goes against Team 3D, Rhino, and Ron "The Truth Killings, the search for Sting/Steve Borden continues for Eric Young and Paparazzi Productions, and we get the TNA debut of a former WCW World Champion. This is some of the best and worst of old school TNA all wrapped up into one show. The Marks (Troy & Greg) are admitted big fans of TNA, so this is a tad bias, but they try to be as objective as possible.SUBSCRIBE TO FUBOTV: fubo.tv/welcome?irad=34GET YOUR SPORTS SWAG ON FANATICS: fanatics.ncw6.net/jxzKMLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 8PM EST: unhingedsn.com/FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.comEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

This is a long one, but there's A LOT of subject matter to cover. And yes...there is a trigger warning in here for you! The Marks (Troy & Greg) are diving headfirst back into the Hell Hole that was Extreme Championship Wrestling. This one was quite the unique show, featuring multiple crimes and/or attempted crimes. The show opens with Dusty Rhodes vs Steve Corino in a Texas Bullrope Match, ends with Rhino vs Super Crazy, and doesn't have much going on in between with any quality. However, a man nearly dies! So that's discussed AT LENGTH. Considered by many to be the greatest WrestleMania of all time, WrestleMania X-Seven; X-7; 17 was headlined by Austin/Rock 2 and was known as the night the Texas Rattlesnake turned heel, siding with Mr. McMahon. This was also just 6 days after the simulcast Raw is War and Nitro where Vince and Shane McMahon made public that WCW was officially dead, bought out by the WWF. Also on the card was TLC 2, Triple H vs Undertaker in their first WrestleMania encounter of 3, Mr. McMahon vs Shane McMahon in a Street Fight, Raven vs Kane vs Big Show for the Hardcore Title, and much more! We are officially 2 decades removed from the final pay-per-view event under the World Championship Wrestling banner. Rookies squashed some legends, some legends really SHOWED THEIR ASSES, new champions were crowned, the opener was surprisingly awesome, and the main event was complete insanity! There is plenty to talk about on this one, from top to bottom! Also, in the news, the Marks (Troy & Greg) are talking about a teenager sentenced to life in prison after claiming to have killed his sister with a wrestling move, Time Warner trying to get rid of some lawsuits, the impending doom of the XFL 1.0, and some snags in Fusient Media's purchase of WCW. Episode 39: WWF WrestleMania VIII (The Macho/Flair Affair)
It's a special double main event as Hulk Hogan clashes with Sid Justice and "Nature Boy" Ric Flair defends the WWF Title against the "Macho Man" Randy Savage! The Marks (Troy & Greg) both absolutely love the year 1992 in the WWF, and this show is a big reason why. Sid and Hogan's friendship fell apart, leading to this match. Meanwhile, Flair claims Miss Elizabeth was sleeping with him before getting with Savage. Or was she!? There's tons of cool stuff on and around this show that the Marks dive into. On top of that, in the news and notes section, they discuss the steroid scandal in the WWF that's still dragging on and the fact that WCW has a changing of the guard in leadership.SUBSCRIBE TO FUBOTV: fubo.tv/welcome?irad=34GET YOUR SPORTS SWAG ON FANATICS: fanatics.ncw6.net/jxzKMLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 8PM EST: unhingedsn.com/FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodCHECK OUT OUR MERCHANDISE: MainEventMarks.redbubble.comEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 38: TNA Against All Odds 2005
TNA pay-per-views were still in their infancy here, but the Marks (Troy & Greg) had their fandom fully bloomed for Total Nonstop Action wrestling! However, this was certainly less "a tale of two shows" and more of "a tale of 3-4 shows." You've got an amazing Iron Man match, a garbage match, multiple decent tag-team matches, and a main event that was horse s**t booked on acid between two members of the Over the Hill Gang. Plucked from the mid-Ruthless Aggression Era, this was when WWE was really pumping out a great in-ring product with some over-the-top storylines! The stars seemed more like...you know...stars. The match quality was usually pretty good or amazing, and SmackDown was regularly handing Raw its ass (this SmackDown-exclusive PPV being no exception). However, WWE had to make the best of a bad situation here before WrestleMania 22. Eddie Guerrero just passed away and one of their biggest stars, Batista, was still out with an injury. Of course there will be! It's WCW! There is also a major defection from WCW to the NWO, some confusion about the loyalties of the Macho Man, and someone loses their mask! Episode 35: WCW SuperBrawl III (White Castle of Fear Strap Match)
Let's tell you a story about WCW in 1993... Big Van Vader was apparently living in a cave in the Rocky Mountains that he called the White Castle of Fear. Sting was on his way to this White Castle of Fear to have a strap match against Vader. However, once they get ready to do this match in the video...we're suddenly back in the arena and actually having the match in the ring. Keeping up with all this, kids? Also on this card, Ric Flair returns from the WWF, the Great Muta defends his NWA (yes, NWA) World Title against Barry Windham, the Heavenly Bodies (this time, it's Stan Lane & Tom Prichard) take on the Rock 'n' Roll Express, and much more! It's co-host Greg's least favorite thing in the world: Extreme Championship Wrestling. Yoshihiro Tajiri takes on Super Crazy for the first (of 1,000) time, Lance Storm fills in for Jerry Lynn to take on Rob Van Dam, Justin Credible and Tommy Dreamer battle it out in a Stairway to Hell match, and a ton more craziness goes on at Guilty as Charged 1999!SUBSCRIBE TO FUBOTV: fubo.tv/welcome?irad=34GET YOUR SPORTS SWAG ON FANATICS: fanatics.ncw6.net/jxzKMLISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 8PM EST: unhingedsn.com/FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

BONUS: WWF Royal Rumble 1988 (ft. Jacob Grondy from Curtain Jerkin')
It's bonus show time again, and Jacob Grondy, from Curtain Jerkin' on WrestlingWithWrestling.com is back! It was the first official Royal Rumble in WWE history. It was on USA Network; not on pay-per-view, the Royal Rumble match was a 20-man match, and it was made entirely to counter-program the NWA's Bunkhouse Stampede pay-per-view. The Rumble match wasn't even the marquee thing at the event; Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant's contract signing for the WWF Title match at Saturday Night's Main Event was THE big segment on the show. On top of this, the show was held in Ontario, Canada while half the roster was in British Columbia on the other side of the country, holding a house show. Episode 33: WWF Royal Rumble 2000 (Start of the New Millennium)
The new millennium gets the pay-per-view lineup kicked off by the World Wrestling Federation with the Royal Rumble 2000! And boy, the WWF brought the heat with this one! Last week, we told you how WCW kicked off the new year with Souled Out. Needless to say, this show was 100-times better and much less chaotic. Triple H battled Cactus Jack in a Street Fight for the WWF Title, the New Age Outlaws defend the WWF Tag Titles against the Acolytes, and the Rock tries to establish himself as the top babyface ahead of WrestleMania XVI as Stone Cold Steve Austin is out with a neck injury. This may be the best pay-per-view of the year and was certainly one of the greatest Royal Rumbles in history. Obviously, most of the news revolves around WCW on their death march, but there's much more than that going on.LISTEN EVERY WEDNESDAY AT 8PM EST: unhingedsn.com/FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 32: WCW Souled Out 2000
This was the very last WCW Souled Out event (thank God) before being replaced with the infamous Sin pay-per-view. Oddly enough, Sid Vicious headlined both this show and Sin, and Sin would mark the end of his in-ring career. However, on this show, it would mark the beginning of Chris Benoit's WCW Title reign and also the last match of his WCW career. Want to find out how and why? The Marks discuss this in great detail, the show being a complete mess due to injuries, Bret Hart and Jeff Jarrett both being forced to stay home with concussions (those injuries I just mentioned), Billy Kidman competing in THREE MATCHES in one night, Kevin Nash killing an old man in a Hardcore match, and so much more! IT'S EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF! Co-host Greg's little Hulkamaniac heart was racing for this one as Hulk Hogan came face-to-face with the Ultimate Warrior for the first time in the Royal Rumble match! This show was building up to the historic WrestleMania VI where those two clashed in Toronto. Andre the Giant made his final Royal Rumble appearance. Someone gets their hair cut by "The F'n Barber" that wasn't supposed to get their hair cut. The Macho King also keeps his rivalry going with The American Dream. And at the end, HOGAN MUST POSE, PAL!!! The show itself wasn't amazing, but it was historic. What could possibly go wrong when multiple rival territories hold a super show with all their talents taking each other on in worked wrestling matches? Listen and you'll find out. It was the 19th In Your House of all time, it was the final WWF pay-per-view of the year 1997, it was themed for D-Generation X, and Shawn Michaels main evented against Ken Shamrock in a WWF Title match. That's about all we can say about it... It wasn't particularly good. It wasn't particularly outstanding. However, there was some goofy crap to talk about on this one as well as some stuff that set up for the Royal Rumble and more going into the year 1998. Jump in to the world of wrestling when the NWO had just formed, Shawn Michaels and his bad attitude were running wild in the WWF, and ECW was just about to pick up steam with their cult-like audience. Episode 23: WWF Survivor Series 1996 (Back to Attack)
The follow-up to our review of the WWF's October 1996 pay-per-view, In Your House: Buried Alive! This show was red hot from Madison Square Garden! Co-host Greg reminisces about watching this show live with friends and, for one of the first times of his life, actually rooting on a top heel over the top babyface. Stone Cold Steve Austin was just starting his rise and gaining a ton of support from fans, but Bret Hart was still one of the biggest names in the industry. Also on this show, two men make their WWF debuts. One went on to fizzle out and not stick around for long and the other went on to become one of the biggest stars in the entire world. Episode 22: WCW/nWo World War 3 1998
It was the fourth and final World War 3 event and Kevin Nash had the "power of the pen." Hijinks ensue as Big Sexy runs wild! WCW World Champion Goldberg was there, they made a big deal out of it, but he didn't compete. That's so WCW... Also, Hollywood Hogan WAS NOT there because he was about to laughably announce he was running for President (in November of 1998, before anyone was ever thinking about the 2000 election). All in all, this was a pretty decent show that was headlined by DDP and Bret Hart battling for the US Heavyweight Title. Episode 21: WWE Raw, 10.28.2002 (Triple H vs Kane in a Casket Match)
It's the 20 year anniversary!!! On a pre-Halloween 2002 Monday Night Raw on TNN (not the USA Network), Triple H continued his tasteless angle of using a sex doll as a stand-in for Katie Vick, who was Kane's kayfabe prom date in high school that died in a car crash with Kane behind the wheel. Yes, this was one week after the infamous, "I screwed your brains out!" funeral home debacle. Kane attacked Triple H, leading to a non-title Casket Match on this show! This was also the night that Eric Bischoff announced who would be competing in the first ever Elimination Chamber match at Survivor Series and Shawn Michaels decided to go after his former best friend, Triple H, after Trips tried to cripple Shawn at SummerSlam. Furthermore, in the first full calendar year with no WCW, ECW, or any competition, TNA is also on the rise as they have new owners! That and so much more discussed in this week's episode!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

BONUS: TNA Bound For Glory 2010 (They're Here!)
It's another BONUS SHOW for the month of October! Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and company have been runnin' wild (BROTHER!!!) on TNA since January. So far, they've been playing it straight, but Sting, Kevin Nash, and others haven't been buying with Hogan and Bischoff were selling. Abyss has been touting the date, "10.10.10" for months while taking out TNA World Champion Rob Van Dam with his 2x4 full of nails that he calls Janice, and Bound For Glory 2010 (TNA's biggest show of the year) is where everything will come to light. Who are "they"? What's happening on this date? Also, the ECW originals (now EV2.0) with Mick Foley in their corner ride high ONE MORE TIME in a Lethal Lockdown match against Ric Flair's Fortune stable!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 20: WCW Halloween Havoc 1994 (Rage in the Cage)
For the first time, the Marks (Troy & Greg) have done an about-face after realizing that the advertised Halloween Havoc 1993 (and all news involved) was a stinker that they just couldn't get much out of. So today, they're covering the 62nd time Ric Flair's career would be on the line! This time, it's against a fresh-to-WCW Hulk Hogan who is also putting his career and WCW World Heavyweight Title on the line against "The Nature Boy" inside of a steel cage. Also, Mr. T is the special guest referee. There's also a masked man out to get Hulk Hogan. And did we mention that Dave Sullivan, kayfabe younger brother of Kevin Sullivan, who in storyline has special needs, is the world's biggest Hulkamaniac and that pisses off Kevin so bad, they're feuding over it? Yeah, that and so much more are on this show!In the news, the Marks discuss how literally NO ONE believes either Hulk Hogan or Ric Flair will truly retire after this match. Eureka! Wouldn't you guess who won the pony? Both men would wrestle for over another decade. The incompetence of WCW is discussed at length in this week's episode, so check it out!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 19: WWF In Your House: Buried Alive
The Marks head back to the year 1996, which cohost Greg dubs "The nWo & Shawn Michaels Year." On this event, the Undertaker and Mankind feud takes a strange turn to where the only way to win their match is to bury the other man alive! How's that for a Halloween-themed stipulation? Vader & Sid also feud over who does a better powerbomb (yes, really) and the show is opened up by Stone Cold Steve Austin taking on Hunter Hearst Helmsley (those two clearly would never go on to do anything). In the news, hear about some whacky fan-involved shenanigans going on at ECW and hear Stupid Things Uncle Dave Says!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 18: NWA Halloween Havoc 1989 (The Thunderdome Cage)
This was the very first and very last Halloween Havoc under the NWA banner. By 1990, it would be WCW Halloween Havoc. For this first event, we're treated to Ric Flair & Sting taking on Terry Funk & The Great Muta an electrified steel cage with Halloween decorations all over it, called the Thunderdome Cage! Keep in mind that this show is in Philadelphia, and the smart marks are running wild on cheering the heels and booing the babyfaces (for the most part). On this night, the Steiner Brothers also do battle with the brand new team of Doom, a cocky Lex Luger puts his US Heavyweight Title on the line against Flyin' Brian, and a babyface Jim Cornette manages two tag-teams. Don't miss the news as Dave Meltzer editorializes some stories, hosts Troy & Greg discuss Koko B. Ware being fired by the WWF after defending himself against a racist, and Antonio Inoki gets stabbed! Episode 17: WCW Fall Brawl 1997 (Four Horsemen vs nWo)
This is one of the biggest moments of Curt Hennig's run in WCW and the peak of the New World Order. Arn Anderson just retired and gave "his spot" in the Four Horsemen to Hennig right before they took on the NWO in War Games. Jeff Jarrett has been trying to get into the Horsemen for about a year or so, but his efforts aren't going so well. However, he did take Mongo's wife as his valet. Also in the news, we've unfortunately got more racism and porn, many people are jumping between WCW, WWF, and ECW, and was Hulk Hogan using the WWF to squeeze more money out of WCW?FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

BONUS: WCW Fall Brawl 1995 (Hulkamaniacs vs Dungeon of Doom)
1995 is notorious for being one of the worst years for all wrestling promotions in the United States. However, it was the first year WCW ever turned a profit and there are actually a few gems throughout this year. Fall Brawl 1995 is probably one of the best shows of the entire year with Johnny B. Badd and Flyin' Brian Pillman tearing it up in the show opener, Ric Flair and Arn Anderson breaking their friendship to do battle over who is the greatest Horseman, and in the main event War Games match, the cartoonish Dungeon of Doom faction climbs into the double cage with The Hulkamaniacs team of Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, Sting, and Lex Luger. There was trouble brewing with the Hulkamaniacs as Vader was recently fired from WCW and replaced with Lex Luger at the request of Sting, even though Luger just debuted on the first ever Nitro to challenge Hulk Hogan! There's plenty of news from that time to be discussed as well and co-host Greg throws his usual shade at AEW. Episode 16: WWF Raw is War 9-22-97 (Austin Stuns McMahon in MSG)
This is one of the greatest, most historic episodes of Monday Night Raw that the WWE has ever produced. Emanating from the World's Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden, there was so much history that took place on this show. This was the final television appearance for Brian Pillman before his death. We see the WWF debut of Mick Foley's alter ego, Cactus Jack. Steve Austin hits a Stone Cold Stunner on Vince McMahon for the first time and, also for the first time, it's publicly acknowledged that Vince is the owner of the World Wrestling Federation. On top of this, cohosts Troy & Greg discuss the passing of Fritz Von Erich around this time, UFC already feuding with brand new MMA promotion, Pride Fighting in Japan, Phil Mushnick being a complete turd in a punch bowl, and much more from September of 1997!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 15: UWF Blackjack Brawl 1994
Probably one of the most fun podcasts the Marks have recorded, they're focusing on an absolutely insane and terrible show. After "Dark Side of the Ring" on Vice TV covered the life of Herb Abrams, the Marks have been wanting to talk about him and his Universal Wrestling Federation. The cocaine-and-hooker-addicted Abrams wanted to compete with Vince McMahon's WWF, but could never get the fledgling UWF truly past first base. He had SOME talent, but most of that was buried. Blackjack Brawl was a colossal failure for many reasons and was absolutely brutal to watch, but it was a hilarious piece of history to cover. The Marks also talk about the early days of the UFC, where dirt rag writers thought it was all fake. Also, Jim Cornette goes off on a former SMW employee for stealing his gimmick!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 14: WWF Saturday Night's Main Event XXIII
This may not have been one of the more memorable Saturday Night's Main Events of all time, but it sure featured quite an array of talent as well as built up to Survivor Series 1989. Hulk Hogan defends his WWF Title against Ted DiBiase while the Million Dollar Man has Zeus in his corner. This would be the final appearance for "The All American Boys"; the Fabulous Rougeaus. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is looking to go through the entire Heenan Family to get to Rick Rude. And this entire show opens up with the Macho King doing battle with Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka! Past the actual quality of the show itself, there's a lot of historical notes from this time period as well as some big stories involving a lawsuit against Dusty Rhodes, when and where Starrcade 1989 would take place, Verne Gagne and the AWA going absolutely mental, and much more!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 13: ALL IN 2018 (The AEW Pilot)
Whether or not we knew it at the time, ALL IN 2018 was basically the demo tape for what would become All Elite Wrestling. It was billed as "The Biggest Independent Wrestling Show Ever," and featured talent from NWA, ROH, MLW, NJPW, CMLL, and more. Co-host Greg has never watched this show before and brings a "new eyes" perspective to a show that co-host Troy is watching back for the first time since seeing it live, 2 years ago. When "Uncle" Dave Meltzer said that Cody and the Young Bucks couldn't sell out a 10,000 seat arena, the Elite members took that as a bet and put their money where their mouths were. Cody faced Nick Aldis for the NWA Title in a classic match, the Young Bucks teamed with Kota Ibushi to take on Fenix, Bandido, and the legendary Rey Mysterio in a lucha trios spectacular, Kenny Omega clashed with Penta El Zero M for the first time in history, Marty Scurll and Kazuchika Okada tore the house down, and Hangman Page fought Joey Janela in a Chicago Street Fight that had the weirdest ending in wrestling history.FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 12: ECW Born to be Wired 1997
It's not on the WWE Network, but the Marks have their ways of watching. Rob Van Dam faced Tommy Dreamer, Taz took on Al Snow (who was transitioning from Lief Cassidy), Shane Douglas took on a very young Lance Storm (with a rat tail!!!), the Dudley Boyz took on the Chair Swinging Freaks in a weird match, and Terry Funk closed the show with Sabu, completely ripping each other apart (literally) with barbed wire! It's been well documented that co-host, Greg, hates ECW and he tried to get Troy to change the show they cover, but they stayed the course. It's time for another b-b-b-bonus show! This time, Main Event Marks host, Troy, is being joined by Jacob Grondy from the Curtain Jerkin' podcast on the Wrestling With Wrestling network. Together, they break down the very first ever SummerSlam in WWE history from 1988! WWF Champion "Macho Man" Randy Savage was in need of a partner, so he called up Hulk Hogan to form the Mega Powers against Ted DiBiase & Andre the Giant--the Mega Bucks! The longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time, the Honky Tonk Man, was also in need of a challenger after "Outlaw" Ron Bass injured Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. Episode 10: WCW Road Wild 1999 (WCW's Final Ride in Sturgis)
Hulk Hogan finally dropped the "Hollywood" moniker, started donning the red & yellow, and became a good guy again. After that, Kevin Nash agreed to put his career on the line for a shot at Hogan's WCW Title. How can it get any better (he asks, sarcastically)? It all took place on a hot August night at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. This was the final time WCW would hold a show at the famous bike gathering, and this was a mercy killing. The Insane Clown Posse were in the opening match, Dennis Rodman battled it out with the Macho Man, and almost every single match on this show was awful. The Marks have a ton of fun with this one, as WCW was (as Tony Schiavone calls it) a coffin on rollerskates at this point!FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 9: WWE SummerSlam 2015 (The Marks Were There!!!)
The Marks (Troy & Greg) were physically in New York City and Brooklyn all week for this show, doing typical touristy stuff and, of course, hardcore figure hunting! SummerSlam 2015 was the biggest SummerSlam ever up to that point and was the first one in YEARS to be outside Los Angeles. The Undertaker came back for revenge on Brock Lesnar...18 months after losing to him at WrestleMania XXX! Also, Seth Rollins duels with John Cena for the US Title and WWE Title! The New Day were heels, running wild on the WWE Tag-Team Division! And does anyone remember that former Daily Show host, Jon Stewart, was the special SummerSlam celebrity host? Besides that, the Marks talk about the news from around that time that involved a major death in the wrestling world, lots of mixing of wrestling and porn during this time, and even a few big stories that involved racism in wrestling.FOLLOW US ON TWITTER & INSTAGRAM: @MainEvent_MarksFOLLOW US ON FACEBOOK: facebook.com/maineventmarkspodEMAIL US AT: maineventmarkspod@gmail.comSEARCH FOR US ON YOUTUBE AT: Main Event Marks

Episode 8: NWA WrestleWar 1989 - The Music City Showdown
It was the show that was supposed to go head-to-head with WrestleMania 5 on pay-per-view before PPV providers stabbed Ted Turner in the back and the NWA was forced to move the date of the show. The Marks (Troy & Greg) are wrapping up their review of the events that carried the legendary 1989 Ric Flair/Ricky Steamboat trilogy, and it was a hell of a way to end an action-packed July. The show itself was what it was, and the Marks break down what could have and should have been along with what actually happened in Memphis. On top of the review of the event itself, the Marks are talking about a "big" debut in the WWF and what's to come from it, the theater and distribution deals surrounding No Holds Barred, a soon-to-be major signing for Uncle Vinny's Rasslin' Entertainment, a big signing for the NWA, and a not-so-major signing for the NWA. Episode 7: WWF In Your House 16: Canadian Stampede
This one is a tad longer than usual, but for good reason. The World Wrestling Federation held their 16th In Your House event in Canada during the red hot rivalry between the Canada-loving Hart Foundation and the entire United States of America. With only 4 matches on the card, you wouldn't expect much, but this was one of the greatest In Your House shows ever (if not the best). It was a hot one Dayton for Extreme Championship Wrestling. For as much as the Marks (Troy & Greg) disliked many things about ECW, they didn't dislike this event. In full heel form, the Dudley Boyz nearly start a riot with a blistering promo on the crowd right before defending the World Tag-Team Titles against Balls Mahoney and Spike Dudley. Besides that, a chibi Steve Corino is all over this show, Tommy Dreamer feints retirement, Taz is out for blood against "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri, and RVD and Jerry Lynn make strange bedfellows as they take on the Impact Players, much to the chagrin of Sabu. A sleeper show from a sleeper year. John Cena had just been drafted to RAW and was made to defend his WWE Title against Christian and Chris Jericho in a Triple Threat match, Shawn Michaels attempts to avenge his WrestleMania loss against Kurt Angle in another classic encounter, Edge and Kane battled it out right before the previously fired Matt Hardy made his return, Batista and Triple H close out their World Heavyweight Title feud in a bloody, brutal Hell in a Cell match before Batista gets drafted to SmackDown, and so much more took place on this RAW brand exclusive pay-per-view!
