One of the most difficult lessons I have had to learn in this business over the years is not feeling the need to be "on 24/7" in this business. There can be a happy middle between your production and you having downtime. For some agents, and I was one of them, working as a real estate agent around the clock has been a real challenge because you feel that if you are not working, your business will crumble. There is a time and place for everything, so it's okay to have days when you don't feel like doing anything. In today's clubhouse takeaways, I discussed the lead generation strategy used by Rocket Mortgage, which used an advertisement over the weekend of using a 90-day rate lock. I discussed why a buyer would want to do that or would not want to do that because typically, interest rates lock within 30 and 45 days. Anything longer usually has some sort of fee attached to it. What they were really doing was creating a reason for a buyer to call them. It was a great lead generation strategy to gather buyer information.
