Keeping in this prolife theme, I interview to the creator of Teen Prolifers, Felipe Avila. Today is the first episode of America Month here at Make It Known with Mal. I interviewed a familiar guest, Jessi Rapelje, the National Committeewoman for the Young Republicans. We are starting off this month explaining a little big about the voting process, primaries vs general elections, political parties, the branches of government, what it means to be an American, and lastly Jessi explains why she is a Republican. Today is a big milestone. It is the tenth episode!!! In excitement and celebration of that I have a fantastic episode. In this episode I interview Jay Prabhu, the director of operations at Proverbs 226. Proverbs 226 is "Proverbs 226 is a nonprofit 501(c)3 committed to making a “Generational Impact” by making a difference in the life of a child, one child at a time. The vision is to impact one million children with an incarcerated parent in the next 10 years by providing college scholarships, mentoring and restoring broken relationships in communities." (This was taken directly from their Facebook page.) We discuss the nonprofit, the impact it is having, why we should care, what's coming next, and lastly how we can get involved. 

I really felt inspired to do a podcast and a YouTube video of encouragement. A few ladies reached out to me asking me about encouragement and I thought there might be more people who need it. Do not be fooled I have days where this gets to me. There is so much uncertainty in this season, but I really wanted to encourage you and show you what I have been doing to try to keep my sanity and feel better during this season. More than anything, I want everyone to remember God is in control and Romans 8:28. So be encouraged listening to this episode. 

In another special episode that fits this special time in history I speak with Julie Rohr a professional online schooling and curriculum developer. She has been a home school parent, an online college student, and currently teaches online and develops curriculums for students.  We talk about how to do school from a home school parent's perspective and from an online college student's perspective. She gives great tips and lots of encouragement for this time. If you are a parent or a student looking for some advice and encouragement on how to do this new way of schooling this is the episode for you.

So much information from people who went to Twitter and YouTube University its hard to know what is true and what to believe. So today you will be hearing from a medical professional that has been in meetings and works for clinic that has been treating this exact virus. I asked her some of the questions you had and some of my own. I also gave a little coffee talk about my opinion of this entire crisis and what I think we should be doing. 

In this episode, I speak with my friend Erin. We talked about mental health and her nonprofit Constant Christmas. She dives into into the importance of mental health. We discuss how to deal with mental health in college. We also transition to discussing to discussing to discussing her nonprofit Constant Christmas. Constant Christmas works to make sure time, money, and resources all year long. She discusses how we can give year round.
