Dasha Ilina & Benjamin Gaulon, No School Nevers | Tech+Art

Dasha Ilina & Benjamin Gaulon, No School Nevers | Tech+Art

Today we’re speaking with Dasha Ilina & Benjamin Gaulon - the co-founders of No School Nevers - an international summer school, held in Nevers in France, aimed at students, artists, designers, makers, hackers, activists and educators.

Dasha & Ben are also independent artists & creators outside of No School Nevers.

Dasha’s work explores the relationship we develop with the digital devices we use on a daily basis, specifically in regards to the human body - primarily centering around the concepts of care and technology.

Benjamin has previously released work under the name "recyclism". His research & work focuses on the limits and failures of information and communication technologies; planned obsolescence, consumerism and disposable society; ownership and privacy; hacking and recycling and more. His work spans several mediums and formats.

I definitely recommend exploring each of their profiles in greater detail and checking out No School Nevers!

Patrik Hübner, Generative Designer | Tech + Art

Patrik Hübner, Generative Designer | Tech + Art

Today we’re speaking with Patrik Hübner, an interdisciplinary designer who uses “creative algorithms” to explore fresh and meaningful stories at the intersection of design, art and data. By applying new and experimental techniques of data-driven creativity to his work with generative and interactive design systems and programming languages, he develops opportunities for brands and cultural institutions to set themselves apart by telling unique and meaningful stories.

Drawing from a rich background of 10+ years as a Creative Director for leading national and international brands, he nowadays constantly crosses the boundaries of art and design by researching emerging opportunities in branding, storytelling and human interaction.

He has worked with many leading international agencies and his work has won global recognition and numerous international and German design awards - including two D&AD pencils, a Creative Pool Award, World Brand Design Award, RedDot Design Award, German Design Award Special, ADC award, any many more.

His self-initiated work has been showcased in the context of design festivals, audio-reactive live-performances and interactive experiences – including the Digital Design Days/OFFF (Milan), re:publica (Berlin), JSNation Conference (Amsterdam), Platine Festival for digital art (Cologne), APT Expanding Systems (London), Berlin Leuchtet Festival (Berlin), Reset Festival for experimental culture (Muenster), Marta Museum for Art, Architecture and Design (Herford) and many more.

I definitely recommend checking out his incredible work online at:
