0406 Greenwashing or Legit? How to Verify Sustainability Claims of Companies
Podcast: Manny Talks
Host: Manny De La Cruz
The push for sustainability has led many job seekers to seek out companies that prioritize environmental and social responsibility. However, it's important for job seekers to carefully research and evaluate a company's sustainability efforts before committing to a job. To do this, job seekers can start by reviewing a company's sustainability reports, which outline their sustainability goals, initiatives, and progress. They can also look for independent certifications or ratings that verify a company's sustainability claims, such as those provided by the FSC or Corporate Knights. Additionally, job seekers can gain valuable insights into a company's sustainability practices by examining their supply chain and sourcing practices. By taking these steps, job seekers can make informed decisions about which companies to support and work for, and help to promote greater sustainability in the business world.

0404 Pragmatic Opinion on Fossil Fuels
Podcast: MannyTalks
Host: Manny De La Cruz
Description: In this episode of Manny Talks, we dive into the controversial topic of fossil fuels and their impact on the environment. While most people think of gasoline when they hear the term "crude oil," in reality, this valuable resource is used to produce a wide range of products that we use in our daily lives, including plastics, lubricants, and even cosmetics.
However, the use of fossil fuels is also heavily debated and criticized for its negative impact on the environment. Despite this, transitioning away from these fuels is not as easy as it sounds. This episode explores the challenges associated with reducing our dependence on fossil fuels, including the economic and political interests that are invested in their continued use, as well as the infrastructure required to support renewable energy sources.
Join us as we discuss the complexities of this issue and the importance of working together to find sustainable solutions that protect our planet for generations to come. Thank you for tuning in to this episode of Manny Talks!

0304: Look Up!
If you are trying to see your worklist as an absolute measure of your success, perhaps you are missing out on understanding the entire expectations of your employment. Said another way, perhaps your paycheck is the exchange for completing the worklist, other rewards may be yours for taking your nose off the grindstone and looking up once in a while.
