Beginners Guide to Podcasting Part 1
Today's episode is going to be a little different than what you may be used to from a pipe podcast, in that pipes are only going to be mentioned in context to the topic at hand. We are going to be discussing the basics of podcasting today and how you get started. We will look at thing s like why you want to do a podcast, the research involved and commitment level, just to name a few.
I have been thinking about a guide like this for a bit and decided now was the time. I hope you enjoy the show and that you are able to take something away from it.

Pipe and a Book: A Study in Scarlett by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
What says pipe smoking more than Sherlock Holmes? Not much, and that's why we are starting out the Pipe and a Book Series with him! This book was purchased and listened to on Audible (not a sponsor), which as a father of three with a fourth on the way is the only real way get any reading done right at the moment. {Please excuse the intro and outro on this episode, I had to record them in my echo chamber of a living room! : )}

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!
A Gift Wrapped in a Beau. Sorry, no Beall.
Briar Report, Beau York and Tobacco Impressions, this is what we have in store for you on the latest Weeknight Smoke! (Emphasis on the LATE.) Normally I would include the links to the articles that I pulled from the Briar Report, but due to the fiasco of a week we've had here, I'll link to the Briar Report itself. It's always a pleasure to talk with Beau York and this time was no exception, however, when editing this episode I noticed that the only time pipes and tobacco were mentioned was a reference to a short story I had publish a few years ago. Still, it was a fun and interesting talk.

Weeknight Smoke: BRTV, Dress-cobs and Tobacco, Oh My?
Welcome everyone to Weeknight Smoke! Come and join me as I talk about news from the Briar Report, and about the new service BRTV! I will chat a bit about a cob mod that I finally completed after 2 years. (Keep your ears open, you may hear about this one again in a future episode, and as always a Tobacco Impression. Tonight we talk about Pirate Kake!
Weeknight Smoke: A Padre, A Pipe Caver and a Pod-caster, Oh My!
Welcome to the very special first episode of weeknight smoke. This episode runs a little longer than what I planned on, but I did have two interviews this time! In the first segment of our first episode, we are joined by Rev. Randall M. Graff AKA Padre Piper. Padre and I talk pipes, tobacco, and much more. During our talk, Padre was going to discuss the full recipe for his own tobacco Rector's Blend but he couldn't find the notes! I received an e-mail later the same day with those very notes and we have included it here for your perusal:
Rector’s Blend:
.75 ounce (or 1 part) Lane BCA
.75 ounce (or 1 part) Lane Virginia
Allow that to marry in a sealed jar for 10-14 days, gently shaking the mixture every few days.
After completing that step, add 1.5 ounce (or 2 parts) Lane BS-005 to the jar. Seal and allow to marry for at least a week to 10 days, making certain to again shake/mix every couple of days.
After a week to 10 days, enjoy Rector’s Blend.
Shop Talk with Nate Rose is our second segment! Nate and I discuss what is up in our lives and at his shop in this part of the episode. This segment was originally going to be part of Maple City Pipecast, but I thought it would be good on this show as well. Nate was also featured in the Carver Series on Maple City Pipecast. Links to those episodes are here:

http://bit.ly/Carver20190515
Nate is also the man responsible for the pipe featured in the shows current cover art.
Finally, we get to our tobacco impression for this episode, Sutliff Private Stock Maple Street. what did I think of this tobacco? I can't remember, you'll have to listen to find out!
Weeknight Smoke: Announcing Mickey Mouse with a Pipe! No, it's just Brian Levine!
Well Maple City Pipecast, we promised new content and we are delivering, but not quite how we had in mind. Listen to the announcement before the episode begins and from there do as you must. But be warned that over the next 6 weeks, we will be in long form.
Things are interesting in the pipe smoking world right now, and that's why we have the Briar Report. Listen to this week's segment carefully and consider how things could be. Links are available at the end of the show notes.
In the conversation/interview segment this week we have the giant of the pipe podcasting world Brian Levine.
This weeks tobacco impression we look at The Haunting creation of Kyle Gellis and Jeremy Reeves, and produced for Warped.

New Content On the way!
Starting with this short episode, content from our long form podcast Weeknight Smoke, will be coming to Maple City Pipecast. We still think that a format for the working man that have a few short breaks and not a long commute need a pipe podcast! One episode of Weeknight Smoke can be broken down into two or three segments! Listen to this episode for details!
