The AC Milan winger joins Landon Donovan as the only male 4-time winner of the US Soccer Player of the Year Award. The 25-year old surely has more awards to work towards as his European career has really taken flight in Italy.

Maybe the Special One has had enough of Europe. I think it’s time he tested himself in Major League Soccer.

If there is something I can do better in 2024…it’s to include MORE soccer in my life!

Baseball fans get to enjoy watching their team almost every night during the season. I know soccer players can’t handle games every night…but I still want a lot!

This will not turn into a lawsuit, but US Soccer has told MLS that it will play its first teams in the US Open Cup. Could be a chance for either organization to flex, but with the World Cup just around the corner - both groups will look to sort this out quickly and amicably.

Very few fans have ever cared THIS MUCH about the US Open Cup. But now, everyone is paying attention and it’s going to make it one of the hottest tickets in town.

Many MLS teams didn’t take the US Open Cup seriously anyway…so be gone with them! The new format will create far more intensity than MLS teams ever brought to the USA’s oldest soccer tournament.

The cohesion with which Inter Miami has come together so quickly is a testament to the commitment and love for the game that everyone at the club seems to possess. Tata Martino, Beckham, Messi and the Mas bros have MLS rockin’ and rollin’ and I love it!

Inter Miami defeated Nashville SC 2-1 in 11 rounds of penalty kicks. Lionel Messi once again proved that he is up to the task…and excited about it!

Lionel Messi continues to dominate Leagues Cup games while everyone else tries to figure out how to slow down the Inter Miami freight train.

The scary part is that Lionel Messi and Co. look like they are operating at 70% capacity and STILL dismantling their opponents.

We had great expectations of the World Cup winning Argentinian. But I think what he has already done in MLS has exceeded what we thought he would do.

The end came in dramatic fashion as Sweden eliminated the USWNT in penalty kicks to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2023 FIFA World Cup.

The two time defending champions will prevail in overtime 2-1 over Sweden in a thrilling and hard-fought knockout round match up.

It might be soooo cliche, but I’m all in! I actually look forward to watching Messi play for Inter Miami…and all the glitz and glamour that goes along with it.

There is a tremendous amount of fame and fortune associated with being a part of the USWNT nowadays. And it could be becoming an unwanted distraction to the team at this FIFA World Cup.

Way back in the day, before free internet calling, you had to pay a premium. For me, it was close to $400 to chat with USMNT goalkeeper Kasey Keller about his life in Germany and England back when he was with Gladbach.

Manchester United sorta let me down by featuring basically their youth team when I drove 300 miles to see them. Inter Miami not only has me intrigued, but has hooked me with their ambition, drive and exquisite play!

We don’t develop enough inventive players to compete with the best and Gregg’s invisible “system” is a shining example of why.

Everybody stands to benefit by keeping a US Soccer believer at the helm. Gregg Berhalter, Christian Pulisic and many others can financially benefit handsomely by keeping a positive culture amongst the team and winning some games along the way.

US Soccer did it. They brought him back because they just want to keep a certain numbers of players happy and feeling safe.

The USMNT should win 2-1 in BJ Callahan and Florian Balogun’s debut. Players like Pulisic, Reyna and McKennie have to step up and have epic performances.

Luka Modric and his Croatian teammates defeated the Netherlands 4-2 in an exciting semi final to advance to Sunday’s big party to face either Italy or Spain.

I’m predicting that two goals by Norwegian supreme goal scorer Erling Haaland will lead Manchester City to a 2-1 victory over Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League Final.

This is the most epic news coming out of Major League Soccer. The World Cup champion will be a much needed focal point of ALL MLS marketing for years to come and David Beckham will look for a hefty return on his massive investment.
