Every business owner and marketer is looking for their "golden ticket" to reach their customers. For some reason, we keep hearing that the demographics a business is trying to reach aren't on social. Many marketers use paid search ads to serve text ads to people searching for their products and services. Pay per click, or PPC, campaigns can be very beneficial and provide a solid return on investment. However, some people believe that once the campaign is set up and started the job is done. This tactic is a favorite around retail businesses to show products you may have looked at on a website but didn't purchase. These ads are then meant to drive you back to the website to purchase the item. And they work! Well, they work for retail, but what about other businesses? Some retailers have even gone to the extent of only advertising to their products and services to the younger generations. It is estimated that Americans will spend $123.7 billion online this holiday shopping season. With Americans spending so much money in such a short period of time, the priority for retailers and service companies is getting as much of the $123.7 billion pie. As an incentive for consumers to buy their product over their competitors', many companies discount their products. Is discounting your products and services necessary to sell to holiday shoppers? Adobe Analytics reported that American consumers spent $19.62 billion online over the five-day period from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. It is estimated that 20% of the days from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday capture 20% of ALL holiday online shopping.
According to Radicati, about 281 billion business and consumer emails were sent and received each day in 2018. With so many emails being sent, McKinsey & Company says email marketing is 40 times more successful at acquiring customers than the social media forces of Facebook and Twitter combined.

There are 1.9 billion websites. Outside of the usual top-level domains (.com, .net, .org, etc.), there are over 1,000 TLDs.
