550. Don’t be a crack hand. | You had a winning hand & got cracked.
549. Your success is based on fiction not facts.
548. Writing, Speaking, & Selling is authentically delivered outside of your comfort zone. 💯
You say you want to keep it 💯 with others, but really you keep it 65. We both tell each other what we want to hear, but not what we need to hear. Your writing, teaching, personal convos- even the way that you sell must be delivered outside of your comfort zone. ———————————
Today's episode cheat sheet:
2:40 Most people don't keep it 100 with you. They only keep it "65"
3:20 To be authentic in my podcast episodes I realized I'd have to tell you about everything I was ashamed of. From bankruptcy, demotion, suicidal thoughts, to hopelessness, and demotion.
5:00 Writing is going to require you to not write to your audience's mind, but to their heart.
5:59 When speaking, people don't want to know how perfect you are, they want to know how imperfect you are, yet still successful.
7:55 Personal convos happen outside of your comfort zone otherwise you'll layer in resentment and frustration.
8:29 How selling outside of your comfort zone resonates with your customers.
9:33 Wrap up. The difference between a diamond and a CZ.

527. Live “with” or Live “for?”
526. Raise your hand, change your life. | Even having the wrong answer is better than no answer.
———————————————
Your future is dependent on your willingness to raise your hand.
🔥Your TSL Post-It note: “Those who raise their hand won’t always have the right answer, but they’re not afraid to have to wrong answer either.”
525. Be the face of your pace. | You set pace, don’t follow someone else’s race.
524. Don’t be so quick to ask for help. Learn how to know what to look for.
Your growth is tied to your hands on experience. When you’re doing or seeing something new, don’t be so quick to ask for help. Sitting in the tension to figure it out will give you the experience to learn to “see” differently as well as tame the voices screaming Mayday! Abort! In your head.

David Clark was remembered on Rich Roll’s podcast. Rich played a previous conversation he had with David- his story was amazing to transforming from a 320 lb raging alcoholic who could only run 15 seconds, to one who ran some of those rigorous ultra runs ever. Clark said, “I didn't want to just run a marathon. I want to BE the one who runs marathons.”
There’s a difference between checking a box and saying I did it to one who embodies it all together so that no matter the race, terrain, or obstacles, you will run the race and push through the difficulties to BE the best ever.

Past tense, past results...dead future.
