Marty opens the season with a discussion on social acupuncture, art, and a new look at problem solving with Dr. Orit Gal. Marty met Dr. Orit Gal at London Design Week. Orit is a great speaker with an endless amount of interesting topics to discuss. As you'll learn she's up to a lot, and has a perspective of the world that we'd all benefit from trying to add to our tactics for navigating life's complex systems.
Dr. Orit Gal
Currently, a Senior Lecturer for Strategy and Complexity at Regent’s University London, Orit is a political economist with a deep curiosity for the inner workings of complex social systems. An expert generalist, she has worked in tech start-ups; corporate market research; peace building NGOs; and innovative policy and military think-tanks. Having the opportunity to closely observe decision makers operating in messy, volatile, and highly complex environments, she set on a passionate search for new knowledge that could help design more effective action. Social Acupuncture brings the fruits of this research to light.

This episode Marty's guest, Sevy Perez, is the artist that brought Marty into the inquiry of what it means to be a Life Artist. Marty and Sevy explored London during London's Design Week this Sept 2018. Part 2 is all about Sevy's dragon he's slaying, a deep conversation about perception, listening, and vulnerability. And, you get to hear Marty get a bit emotional as he explains his moving art experience at the Tate Modern in London.
Another inquiry into what it means to be a life artist. Marty invites his amazing wife Megan Bhatia to share her perspective on being a life artist.
