Sooo many things have happened since I was sick 😷.. I got a house mate, I got a permanent position at my job, anddd I realised I have not started packing for my overseas trip 😱..

I have been sick as a dog these last few days.. so apologies for my slightly more nasally and American (?) sounding voice 😂… I am finally renting out my place to someone else and I am not looking forward to sharing my space 🥲.. but alas I need the money. I also update you on my crazy neighbours and all the money I spent on cameras to catch them doing illegal stuffs…

Basically I tell you about the struggle of my week.. dealing with lack of sleep, pimples, weight gain, and my crazy neighbours are back again and stealing my water! Thinking about burnout again and realising I have less tolerance for toxic people and behaviours.

It’s been a tough week 😭😭… So many decisions to make… and not enough sleep doesn’t help… Also, I gave up on recycling my 10 cent bottles…

Merry Belated Christmas ~! How was your Christmas? I’ll tell you all about mine back in my hometown.. I experienced some FOMO while I was away… also the new year is coming.. I talk about some new year resolutions.

I went to the most extra wedding In Melbourne 😌. No expense spared… bubble tea, ramen, yuzu cocktails, indoor fireworks, live muscians…personalised tote bags and rave sticks?!? They really went all out 😂.. it’s almost Christmas and I am super unprepared this time😅😅… and I chat about new year resolutions and also reflect on some positive things from this year including the growing of my food blog 🙂🙂.

Huge recommendation to check out the recent podcast by Life Uncut - where th why interviewed a honour killing survivor- Nina 🥲. Such a tragic story and I hope that honour killing can stop soon 😔.

The preparation for it was terrible and I highly recommend you take time off while you are fasting and don’t get hypoglycaemia like I did 😓… get ready for your butt to be on fire and also have stomach pain after the procedure.. have you guys been through one?

Here I talk about my busy one day weekend .. starting off with my first ever invite to a soft opening of a new arcade in Melbourne called Akiras! (Check it out on my ig: eating_with_joy). I also binge watch two movies as this is their last week as part of the Japanese Film Festival. I compare “The lines that define me” and “We made a flower bouquet”.. Two completely different movies and with different life lessons… As a person easily influenced I want to take Japanese ink painting now thanks to the first movie. The second movie just really made me reflect and think about my past relationships and how .. you gotta really watch out for toxic people 😅…

Have you ever had someone damage your property?!? Then you try to tell the police..but they are useless 🙄

Went to my first ever concert In Melbourne! It was absolutely out of this world magical experience… it’s been so long since I felt music that touched my soul and remember why I love music so much.

Had a really traumatic time having my bloods taken last week in Adelaide 😭.. Why am I so scared of needles, yet I was able to take other people’s bloods and give injections? Also, I can sympathise with patients in hospital patients and why they would want to leave 😭.. Also, I’ am sick again 🥹

I don’t plan to have kids😅 it’s so expensive! I can barely afford to survive on my own 🥲. Physically and mentally I don’t feel like I am fit to be a mother😅.. but don’t get me wrong I love playing with my niece and nephew ❤️..what are your thoughts of having a kid? Leave a comment in reviews ✌️

1 week post surgery and finally have my bandages off my ear and have FINALLY been able to wash my hair again 🎉! I’ve never felt so gross in my life! Also been having night sweats every nighttt.. not sure why😅

Had my keloid ear surgery this week! Been waiting for months to have it done and have been eagerly waiting for work to give me time off to do it 😓😓.. you would be surprised what was the worst part of this ordeal 🤣🤣…

Recently I have been dealing with more patients than I have ever… patients be suddenly deteriorating and I can almost know and feel when a patient is going to die..😅😅 . In this episode I also talk about my obsession with the Temu Fishland game and how I think it’s a clever scam😂… my mum is also coming this Sunday on mother’s day and eek I have not bought a present yet🥹

Last week was a shorter working week, but it was full of events. Came back to a patient needing a codeblack … I also got my hair straightened on Monday and couldn’t get it wet for 3 days..😭

Went back to the neurologist again and this time I am finally able to move onto injectable medications for my migraines.. Not sure if I am confident enough to do them myself.. and my first time spending Easter not in Adelaide… Apologies I had my dryer running in the back ground! So noisy🥲

Hmm how do you think a beggar looks like? Did you ever think it would look like a 30 something working professional working in a hospital? Well it is.. I’ve never been so broke.. and I struggle to save any money after all my mortgage, medical, insurance, and bills are paid 🥲.. this is the life of a modern day beggar.. in the society where mortgage rates go up.. but our wages do not.

New hospital rotation headaches 😭.. no swipe card access for 3 days? Having to do lunch cover? No staff to cover? No stock? Desk in the middle of the nurses station? Literally listen to me whinge about being a hospital pharmacist for 30 minutes 😂.. someone please offer me another job with same or higher pay please 🙏🏻..

Being oncall screwed up your mental health, sorry, and your normal working day… It’s the most harsh thing to impose upon someone and I don’t understand how you can still work during the day and have to do it at night.. literally No work life balance..and no time off. It made me realise..Do I really want this life for myself? What can I do otherwise?

The joys of hosting my first ever house warming party and noticing all the strange things that guests do and don’t do… and would I do it again? P.S Happy Valentines Day!

Finally got to see the Ear, nose, and throat specialist for my recurrent ear infections! I’ve been waiting so long to see them! Hopefully finally can get the infection treated soon.. will keep you posted. I also visit a plastic surgeon who tells me I need to get my keloid removed again…:(…

MRIs, fainting, and panic attacks
