I talk to my friend Linds Jakows. Linds is a highly educated grassroots organizer. They also identify as non-binary or “genderqueer”. (I make the mistake on their pronouns a couple times) We discuss their experience of being a non-binary person, their experiences in their education and as a grassroots organizer, the fight against inequality, big money in politics, homelessness in NH, working for Andru Volinsky, COVID, the insurrection at the capital and more! For my first guest of the second season I have my friend Ray Curren back. We digest what has gone down over the last two months. Lots to discuss!

I start my second round of podcasts. I outline some of the people that I will be talking to and begin to comprehend the events of Jan. 6, 2021.

I talk with lawyer, Former candidate for Governor of NH, and executive councilor Andru Volinsky. We discuss a ton, we talk about his beginnings in fighting injustice, and the representing Claremont in the school funding lawsuit in 1997. We discuss football in the time of COVID, (Andru played football in Pennsylvania in the 70s) the differences in the game from then and now, and the benefits of playing for kids. We discuss climate change and the inequality that exists in our education funding system in NH. We talk about the incoming Joe Biden administration. And so much more!

I talk to my friend Caleb Werntz. Caleb has been through a lot in his life. From being homeless to being in film school. We discuss it all! Take a listen

I speak with community college professor and poet (among other things) Elisabeth Horan. We discuss her story, battling mental illness, the four years cruelty that was the Trump Administration and more! Elisabeth reads one of her magnificent poems to end the podcast.

I talk with autism specialist Amy Crosby-Perham. She talks about how she got into the field of working with children who are autistic, we break down the autism spectrum, discuss the struggles children and people with autism face in a judgmental society. We also talk about the stigma of mental health and the need for reformed sexuality education.

I talk with a dear friend of mine, Larissa Cahill. Larissa has been an educator for the last 16 years. Most of that time being in New Hampshire as a Theater arts teacher and now in Egypt. We discuss the similarities of preparing for a football game versus a performance. Also discussed is how we feel following the 2020 election, the unbelievable divisions in America, the enactment of progressive policies, the correlation between childhood trauma and income inequality, and the hope that the future is bright! I finally have my wife on! We go in depth on this Thanksgiving day about what we are thankful for, holidays during this abnormal time, and more.

In a short 9 minute podcast, I break down the statistics to the best of my ability and explain why we should listen to Medical experts who are telling us to limit our holiday gatherings to people in your individual households.

I talk to school social worker Courtney Porter. We discuss being a social worker in a school setting, and the dynamics of that, her education, the effects of trauma on families, the politics of social work, how mental health should be viewed the same as physical health and more!

I have my pal Fred on once again. In this edition we talk about Trump refusing to acknowledge the results of the election, the problems with Democrats, and our main man Bernie Sanders.

I have my friend Ray on once again. We talk about the results of the election, the in coming Joe Biden presidency, Trump not accepting the results of the election, the status of the COVID-19 pandemic, psychology, trauma, and the social dilemma.

In a short ten minute podcast, I breakdown the connection between income and wealth inequality and childhood trauma, I talk about how the stress from working parents not being able to pay bills as well as put food on the table effects their parenting and the rewiring of a child’s brain.

I talk about the results of the 2020 Presidential Election. A breakdown of the President-Elect’s plans for when he takes office. I also make a plea to try and bring this country together.

The election still has not been called, but it looks good for Biden. I give a response to my Trump supporting friends who like to talk about Democrats giving “free stuff” as well as analyzing the states that have yet to be called. I also talk about Joe Biden’s promise to rejoin the Paris climate agreement on day one of his presidency and how you won’t pay anymore taxes if you make less then $400,000 a year under a Biden administration.

I describe why football is the ultimate team sport and has a ton of representation of life. I go a little in depth on scheme, and talk about how it is the ultimate team sport

I give my thoughts on what is currently taking place in the 2020 election. And how difficult it is to defeat a fascist.

I talk to lifelong educator and former principal in several different schools, Scott Bouranis. We discuss his beginnings in North Dakota, to his experiences as a principal in New Hampshire. We also discuss the upcoming election, the consequences of Trump being re-elected and how we have coped over the last four years.

In this episode I talk to Paige who is the lone therapist for a school district. We go in depth regarding trauma and how it rewires the human brain. We focus on children and how it effects their behavior. We also talk about hormones in the brain such as cortisol, oxytocin and dopamine. We also dive into sports psychology. Paige is full of knowledge and I will certainly have her on again to to discuss other psychology and trauma concepts!

One of my real good friends and fellow educator. Fred has worked in education for 40 years and as held roles such as social studies teacher and Special Education para educator. Fred talks about his first job, life during the Trump administration, Universal healthcare and the upcoming election. I will definitely have Fred on again as we have much more to talk about!

In this episode I examine the consequences on people with disabilities, elderly people, low income people and Social Services providers if you cut $1.6 trillion for Medicaid over the next ten years like the Trump administration has proposed every year over the last four years. I will reiterate here, I am for ways to fix the system so that people don’t take advantage, but hitting the system would have detrimental effects on vulnerable people and highly trained professionals!

I try and tackle the issue that has been taking place since 2017 at the southern border. I talk about the effects on those children’s brains and what is has done to their lives. You also get my take on how to attempt to fix the problem and this issue and the upcoming election.

This first episode is just myself. I wanted to do a quick segment explaining Democratic socialism and what it is. There are so many misconceptions on the facts about this. It’s not Venezuela socialism or communism. It is about certain sectors of our society, specifically healthcare, education, social services, that are not run for the means of profit. It also means addressing income and wealth inequality and addressing that so workers get more of the wealth they generate. Take a listen 😁
