ANY page: Cerebus the Aardvark, glamourpuss, Strange Death of Alex Raymond (including the pages Dave has drawn in the past year), Cerebus in Hell? (I would suggest sending in a list of pages you're interested in, and include alternates in case Dave sold the page you REALLY want years ago.)
- Dave's thoughts on Todd McFarlane's "breaking" Dave's 300 issue record.
- What Dave wants for the Cerebus Archive from Steve Peters' "Ghosts of Rabbit Hell" Kickstarter campaign.
All this and the usual sidetracks, asides, and general tomfoolery you get from Matt & Dave.

Please Hold For Dave Sim 11/2023
Holy crow! It's the FIFTH anniversary episode of Please Hold For Dave Sim! Five years of holding. Five years of two dudes talking about a cartoon aardvark. Over sixty hours of AMOC's Manly Matt Dow trying to make Dave Sim laugh. Five years with a lot of answers to a lot of questions. Like these:
- Matt remembers Jeff Seiler's car.
- Dave skips Lank Stephens because, oh god the questions...
- VGDC Maroro asks about:
- Judith Bradford
- a sort of "list of exercises" for one to learn how to ink lines
- How does one figure out how far one can push the expression of a character until it becomes off-model
- How did you go about making the rock-climbing scene from Church & State so heartpoundingly thrilling that it took me all the way to 5 paragraphs of the brick wall that is Chasing YHWH in like 2 days
- If you had the ability to draw without any pain in any bit of your arms tomorrow, would you attempt a second magnum-opus like Cerebus was?
- What is your take on the ethics of artists using an AI trained nonconsensually on the work of other artists as a tool to help them?
- Does Glenn Vilppu's technique work for cartoon characters that were constructed two-dimensionally like Fred Flintstone rather than ones made of 3D forms like Mickey Mouse?
- Dodger wants to know about Dave's thoughts on Marvel & DC's B/W reprint lines.
- Steve has inquiries about Jeff Seiler's copy of The Cerebus Guide to Self-Puplishing.
- Margaret has one of them notebook questions.
- Zipper wants to know if he has a rare misprint.
- Christon has questions about Cerebus #1.
- Philip Fry has questions about two unnamed guys from the first 13 issues.
- Mike Sewall wants to know how long SDOAR is gonna be.

- Wayne Thomas has questions about Deni Sim's signature.
- Aaron Wood makes us hungry...
- And has questions about Superman.
It's another two hours and twenty minutes added to the pile of content we provide you...for free.
Please Hold For Dave Sim 10/2023
Dave Sim, and Manly Matt Dow REUNITE, again, for the October 2023 Please Hold For Dave Sim!
This month's collection of wonders include:
- Dave Sim's remembrance of Cerebus Super Fan Jeff Seiler (1962-2021) gets to the weird confluence of: Karaoke, Covid lockdowns, Yusuf Islam, Neil Gaiman, Sandman, The Book of Genesis, Surah 12 of the Quaran, a riddle, and, a cat.
- David Birdsong's Kickstarter for MarvelManVark
- Dave answers a question from his YouTube Channel, from Lank Stephens, about collaboration between a foreground and background artist. (Dave promises this might be an ongoing discussion...)
- Dave answers a question from Dodger about inkers.
- And Dave's thoughts on Wally Wood.
- And Matt stuns Dave with Tomb of Dracula Artist edition, and Batman Noir: The Dark Knight Returns. (Which Dave suggests anyone interested in inking should check out.)
- Dave and Matt answer Jason Trimmer's question about the resemblance between President Biden and Mary Hemingway.
- And Dave answers a hypothetical (I KNOW!)
- Dave answers Christon's question about Zipatone/Letratone.

It's two hours and nine minutes of Please Holdedy goodness!
Please Hold For Dave Sim 9/2023
So, due to a technical error, the first few minutes of this month's Please Hold For Dave Sim were accidentally erased. (My phone restarted, and the file is unsavable. NORMALLY there's the back-up, but I forgot to push the button... "Mistakes were made.")

- Dave turning to prose (he's not.)
- What Dave's work on The Strange Death of Alex Raymond looks like these days
- Dave Sim's Last Girlfriend: fact or fiction (seriously, has anybody SEEN a copy physically?)
- Why is there no old old Cerebus in Dave's Notebooks?
- Is Dave REALLY gonna charge seventy bucks(!) for the next printing of Form & Void? (Yes, yes he is, and we discuss why...)
- And, like, twelve minutes on carrots...no, really...
- Are there gonna be any more Pieces of Turtles 8?
So, strap in, buckle up, and enjoy!
Or not. I'm not your father. You don't have to listen to me if you don't want to. (Although you'd be breaking your poor mother's heart... And get a haircut! No son of mine is gonna walk around looking like some galldarn hippie! And take out the trash. I HEARD THAT! YOU WANT ME TO TAKE YOU OVER MY KNEE?!? Well? Do ya? THAT'S IT! YOU'RE GROUNDED YOUNG MAN! Go to your room!)
Dave Reads the Gospel of John
Dave Sim reads the Gospel of John. As he said in a recent fax:
I also recorded all of John's Gospel and Sean is now editing it into an audio mp4. So If you're REALLY SELF-CONSCIOUS about this, all you have to do is arrive early, find a spot outside where your local City Council, State Assembly or Congress is about to sit, put in your earbuds, and LISTEN to John's Gospel, thinking the whole time "I'm OUTSIDE with God and God's Word. I align with THIS and not YOU. May God judge between me and thee.”

Interim Editor of A Moment of Cerebus (http://momentofcerebus.blogspot.com/) Matt Dow is once again joined in conversation by Dave Sim, creator of Cerebus.

Basically Dave called Matt too early because Dave's clocks aren't all set right.), renovations to The Off-White House, the Remastered Spawn #10 Kickstarter (COIMING SOON!), Why Cerebus ran for 26 years, Unauthorized Cerebus pewter miniatures from Citadel, What one piece of Art Dave would like to own (and why), Matt Wagner and Diana Schutz, the Song of Amergin and Mothers & Daughters, Why so many editions of High Society, and Cerebus Fandom.

Please Hold For Dave Sim 9/2020
So, here in all it's TWO HOUR PLUS glory is the September 2020 Please Hold For Dave Sim. Normally when Dave Sim calls A Moment of Cerebus' Matt Dow, it gets broken up into many many videos on the Youtubes. But this month Matt managed to get it to work as a podcast, do here you go. Dave reads the questions he's answering, so I don't need to write them out here, right?
(These will still end up as videos, for you guys who need to see them that way...)
Please Hold For Dave Sim 8/2020
Welcome to the first Please Hold For Dave Sim podcast. (Which has historically been posted as videos on the YouTube.) Unfortunately, the two fifty-five minute segments I recorded with Dave Sim are just blank audio files (literally, the waveform when I try to edit them is just a flat line...) so all that exists are these two clips.
In the first, Dave is talking about Batvark:PENIS, and the "Censored for Grandma" variant: Batvark:XXXXX. And which is rarer. (Dave had told me that PENIS was going to be the rarer version, but that was based on preliminary order data, and is no longer true.)
The second bit is from the end of the call, right before we hung up.
NEXT month I'll have the whole thing figured out and it'll go off without a hitch...
