Christmas is busy, it’s obligation after obligation, but what do we do to help that?

I am on year 18 of ministry and I have learned a whole lot of what to do and what not to do. I’ve given hundreds of sermons and I’ve listen to hundreds and hundreds more there’s a few things I’ve learned.

Have you heard the phrase “Let’s go Brandon”? You can Google it, be careful though. Is it OK to say? Does it matter if we say it in a church service or at work? When is it OK to disagree with people an even bigger question is, how to disagree with people?

Thanksgiving is overrated…or is it? What is it for and what is it not for?

Allen Clark is pastor who got semi famous this past year for saying some pretty incredibly outrageous things from the pulpit. Why did this happen how do we prevent it and what is our duty when preaching the word of God?

Sin, it’s the worst isn’t it? What do we do with our own and how do we channel that energy into helping other people

Suffering is guaranteed for both the Christian and the non-Christian. It can’t be avoided, but, what do we do with it?

What is Christmas?

What is the gospel? Why is sin so key to it?

So many celebrity mega church church leaders have been in the news for all the wrong reasons the past few years. It hurts to see, but why does it happen? What can we learn?

I am not very woke. It isn’t that I don’t want to be, it’s that the Bible doesn’t lead me to be. But, why? And what leads me there?

Do you feel anxious? Do you hate talking about it? Are you saved and yet still, lost?

We all have value. No matter how depressed, anxious, failing or lonely you feel.

I have been through a lot of changes in my theology over the years one of these things is my views on Calvinism, and the whole concept of “Am good or not?”This brings me to today’s topic of are we good? And if we are what does that mean?

I woke up at 1:30 AM the night of the election in 2020 not being able to sleep and completely grieved over so many things as a follower of Jesus in America. I am not saying you have to feel the way I do at all but this is where my hearts that right now and I had to capture it today.

Do you long for a time that’s not this one? Maybe a time that was simple and there was less hates and there was less divide? The bad news for you is that time never did exist we have always been divided we have always had heat we have always had disagreements at most turns. So with that said if you are not feeling like you were made for the social media, outrage, constantly upset world I have some really good news for you.

Many of us grow up in the church and we know that God loves us that we’re not supposed to judge and we have this basic understanding of the Bible is probably true, and that’s good isn’t it? Maybe just maybe God wants so much more for us in our growth today we talk a bit about politics today we talk a bit about social justice we talk a whole lot about Jesus.

We all have dreams we all have ideas of what the world would look like if we accomplished those dreams. But is that what we need is getting more money, more fame, being better looking the ultimate goal? If you leave the church is more people more money better services better lights all those things is that the goal?

I have these conversations with people I just met all the time and man its fun, up until they find out I am a pastor and then...it gets weird.

What is more surprising, that it happened or that we were surprised that it happened?

Read Matthew 4, its not just a fun Halloween story to tell your buddies, it is a real historical event and its happening to use every single day.

Politics, religion, sports, movies.
We take sides and destroy the opposition.
Why?
And even better, how do we stop?

There is one thing a believer can do that is like playing with a lit stick of dynamite. This right here is it.

Men hate to talk about their weakness, which is in fact a HUGE weakness.
Guys, lets chat about how to take care of us.

Church at the moment has a big old divide politically and socially.
Is that bad?
What is "woke"?

I have this clipboard and COVID time ruined. It hurts.
I have people in my life I love that are hurting. It hurts.
Life can be one big OUCH.
So what do we do?

Romantic comedies where the geek gets the girl.
Iron Man kills Thanos.
Ronald Reagan strikes down the commies.
We love heroes, but why?

Politics are Satanic and divide, we in the church need to get to know people and meet them where they are.
Experience stuff.
Discuss stuff.
Love people.

I once quit full-time ministry and got a regular job. I got to choose what church to attend and volunteer for what I wanted to volunteer for, it was healing and it was awesome.
And, It taught me to love the church.
Here is my story.

Racism. Politics. The "haves" and the "have-nots"
Are we just animals getting what we get with an ever changing system of morals or is there something much, much more?

The Gospel, what is it?
What does the Old Testament tell us?

This is the hardest thing I have ever recorded or said publicly.
It is not flattering for me as a leader, a Christian, a dad or a husband. I pray it is a big help to others whether you are planting a church, considering planting a church or just trying to keep what is important the main thing.

I am not sure there is a more controversial word in the english language than "REPENT". It gives us an uneasy feeling.
Is it a bad thing though?
Is it a burden or is it a gift?

Monday we posted a bonus episode that contained a sermon and it blew up pretty big, at least to our show's standards and seeing this decided to post a sermon that deals with suffering which could not be more relevant to the times we are in right now.

Crappy cars and Psalm 139 have a whole lot to teach us.
