In this week's podcast of The Building Manager, I have the pleasure of interviewing Bruce Bromley, the Managing Director of Equal Access Group. Bruce works with companies managing work within SDA and NDIA along with the Standards Australia to improve and implement policies for people with disabilities. It is time that architects, builders and developers recognised the needs of the NDIA and did more than just follow a basic standard. I can speak from personal experience as someone in a wheelchair and it was necessary to share our passion to hopefully gather motion for improved spaces for people with disabilities.

On this week's episode of The Building Manager podcast, I had the great honour and pleasure of speaking with a world leader in the Facilities Management industry, Mr. Tariq Chauhan. Tariq is the Co-Founder and Group CEO of EFS Facilities Services based in Dubai who has been operating EFS since 2009. Tariq talks to me about his background in finance, entrepreneurialism, his passion for the FM industry and the importance of his people. 

On today's episode of the Building Manager, I talk to Prithvi Dodla, the CEO of PCS Global Group, all the way from India. With the Strata industry growing across Australia, Prithvi and his team have been able to provide accounting services to companies in Australia. With their experience already existing in the US, Prithvi talks about his work ethics and the benefits of PCS Global Group services.

On this week's episode of The Building Manager podcast, I interview Michael (Mick) Bowley who is the Building Manager at Mantra on View, in Surfers Paradise. It is good to get the real perspectives of a Building Manager on the show and just what it takes to manage not only their team but their building. As a precursor, I am an owner in the building and on the committee but that is not the reason for the interview. Brady Williams, the owner of Active Building Management in Auckland, New Zealand talks to me on The Building Manager podcast about the industry and some of the differences from Australia. Brady is a well seasoned individual who, along with his wife has developed his company from one building to managing over 100 sites. Brady shares his experience, knowledge and insights into what it takes to be a Building Manager in NZ.

Wow! What an epic show with Paul Mann from WBCM - Environmental Australia. Paul talks about his passion of cleaning bins and bin chutes within high-rise complexes and how today more than ever there is a need to draw on environmentally friendly cleaning standards. Paul also briefly discusses a world-first on The Building Manager podcast that he and his team are working on. The need for correct cleaning standards and use of correct chemicals is vitally important not only to the people in the buildings but to the environment and Paul has this part of cleaning perfected. 

Rob Marsh, the General Manager of Property with Turnbull Cook talks with me around the role of the Strata Manager and how they interact with the Building Manager. The two roles are synonymous, having spent times in both roles myself, I can appreciate the requirements of having effective communication. Managing a high-rise complex and having intricate knowledge of essential services within buildings is a must for a Building Manager. 

Matt talks to the founder of MyBos, Sam Khalef about how he started the platform to where it is today. MyBos - Powerfully Simple is a well developed system that is changing how interactions between Building Managers and stakeholders of strata run sites has positively impacted the industry. Today, more than ever, having a system like MyBos is a must in any new high-rise residential complex as it keeps the integrity of the role of a Building Manager together.

This brief 5 minute podcast is a reminder of the importance of OHS. In episode 3, Nicholas Cox, Group CEO from Focus Alliance, talks about OHS in the workplace and how we should all take care when it comes to work and working with others.
