Marrie questions Joann's dedication to her quest.

In the tavern of Marsh Hallow Joann realises some uncomfortable truths and also has her first real taste of the world outside her cell.

Finally arriving to the town of Marsh Hallow; Joann and Marrie can settle in for the night but where the pair go from here is something Joann is unsure off.

With the creature gone Marre begins to question Joann's motives as the pair grows closer to the town.

Joann and her new companion Marrie have a moment to get to know each other more and Joann makes an unsettling realisation about her past.

Joann awakens after her fight with the bandits only to see the young woman she rescued has watched over her. The two form an uneasy allience, at least until they reach town.

Joann defends the young woman against two thugs with dark intentions. Though she has no weapon or armour for herself the bandits learn that she is far from easy prey.

As Joan takes her first steps in the outside world for the first time in who knows how long, she is greated with a sense of freedom and forboding. The outside world has not grown kinder in her absence.

Joann debates the morallity of an accord with the grey child and we witness our hero's first steps towards purpose and perhaps freedom.

The strange grey child makes her intentions and conditions known to our hero Joann. Joann is offered a chance at freedom but is it worth the price?

A mysterious young girl interrupts Joann's quiet contemplations. What she has to say shakes Joann's very being.

This is where our story begins. Joann, like all the others, is lost, forgotten and unwanted.
