This week we had our Director of Asset Management Andrew Mattei on to talk about what goes into all of the different facets of Asset Management and things you need to look out for when it comes to leasing, property management, construction, and more. In this episode, we dive deep into Multifamily Asset types and all things we think investors should know about investing in them. At 3CRE Multifamily Assets have been a large part of our expertise and work, so we were very excited to take a deep look into these and share our knowledge with you. We first talked about the market conditions surrounding Multifamily Assets and then specifically Multifamily assets in our area of the country which is Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. From there we dove into our 4 best Multifamily Value add strategies and how each one of those will affect your investment and ROI. Finally, we talked about the Labor Intensiveness of Multifamily properties. Multifamily properties are one of the most labor-intensive assets, and we give you insights on how to make the investment more passive or what to do when you commit to managing a Multifamily Asset on your own. 

This week we welcomed the director of our Columbus branch and Business Brokering unit Brett Post. Brett has a wealth of knowledge in Business Management and Business Brokering. He shares with us his tips for formulating an exit plan and what to do when you think you're ready to step away from your business at any point in the Business cycle.

Next, we talk about the synergistic relationship Business Brokering can have with Commercial Real Estate, and Brett, Mike, and Tryf share personal experiences in that relationship. 

Finally, we end the episode with an in-depth economic breakdown surrounding the market conditions and outlook for Commercial Assets in Ohio. 

This week we talk about fed rates and some of the big misunderstandings that are surrounding the raising fed rate. We give you our perspective from working across all asset types and talk about our outlook going forward. After that, we breakdown one of our most recently completed deals, one that started as a 1031 exchange with a multifamily property into a retail property. After completing the 1031 we managed the new retail property for 5 years before completing the sale of the property in July 2021. We use this real-life example to further break down the difference between investing in Retail and Multifamily and why you might want to consider both.
