Your Black Friend

Your Black Friend

By Maxwell Griffin

Your Black Friend is a podcast about Black folks answering questions that white folks have about what it means to be Black in the United States.

The truth is that many white people don’t have any Black friends, yet they’re encouraged to become allies.

In each episode host, Maxwell Griffin will invite a new Black friend on and they’ll candidly answer anonymous questions submitted by white people.

Ultimately, the hope is that listening to these conversations help you go beyond allyship and become a co-conspirator in the work to dismantle systemic racism.

Introducing Your Black Friend

Introducing Your Black Friend

If you had a Black friend, what is that lingering question you’d ask them? A 2014 Washington Post study said 75% of white people don’t have any non-white friends. For the people who have Black friends, some simply feel uncomfortable talking about race and racism with their friends. Host, Maxwell Griffin will invite a new Black friend each week and they’ll answer anonymous questions that people have about Black people and Black culture in the United States. So, if you don’t have a Black friend, my Black friend is now your Black friend.
