BBL PANDEMIC! | #maztalks
In the last two years, there's been a rise in Brazilian butt lifts. Everywhere I look all I'm seeing is surgery after surgery. Every time I scroll on my for you page I'm loaded with young girls vlogging their BBL experience. I see young girls getting bullied for their body shape and it's upsetting. We need to embrace our natural bodies and love our imperfections. Surgery or no surgery you're the same person. Before you put yourself under the knife, do intensive research! Leave Them | #maztalks
There’s no point starting the year on a lie. Every year we tell ourselves we’re going to change a, b and c. By mid-January, we have all forgotten about what our goals are. Let’s start the year off by looking at the people around us. As much as we want to be successful with our friends, sometimes we need to leave them be. You can not be carrying around dead weight. When you put more time into your craft and fulfilling your commitments, you’ll start to realise you don’t have time for the stuff you used to have time for. Growing up sda... | #maztalks
This episode is based on my experience growing up as a Seventh Day Adventist.  I have been asked so many questions over the past couple of years and it’s time I answer them for you. This episode is not me bashing the church in any way shape or form. 80% of what I have said in this episode has been vocalised during my time in the church. Whatever church you go to you is up to you. This was not the church for me and there is nothing more to it. I’d love to have conversations with those who feel as though I may be wrong, but as stated in my disclaimer that this is my personal experience. Love, Maz

Pay Attention To The Signs | #maztalks
After speaking to a few people, I came to a realisation that we all lived similar childhoods. Even though our parents were present they were not emotionally and physically there. Teenagers go through a lot. They need someone to help them along their journey. Without proper support, these teenagers have mental health problems, eating disorders, and so much more. We must see the signs in our children or siblings so we can help them. Instrumental by Island Dre (Instagram @island_dre) Contact me: linktr.ee/maazz.a

Let the Music Speak! ft Prince TY | #maztalks
I had the pleasure of interviewing Prince TY. I love hearing people's stories and this one for the books. Prince TY is a composer, singer, and musician. Ghanaian-born, English-raised. He was the key drummer in his church growing up, so playing the drums and anything music-related came easy to him. Prince TY's has always been surrounded by individuals in the industry from a young age. It never dawned on him that he was destined to be an artist. Even his debut single was an 'accident.' The accident has now launched his music career. To find out more, tune into the podcast episode! Being a Leader 101 | #maztalks
Being a leader is harder than what people think. They see what we do and do not think about what goes on behind the scenes. In this episode, I explain the traits of a good leader as well as my leadership experiences. Throughout my life, I have been in many leadership positions starting as early as year 9. Being in those roles have open doors for me as equipping me for life. Leadership varies from person to person people all over the world, and it also means different things in different circumstances. “Leadership is about making others better as a result of your presence and making sure that impact lasts in your absence.” — Sheryl Sanberg, COO of Facebook Instrumental by Temi_montana (Instagram) Contact me: linktr.ee/maazz.a

Spreading Awareness Effectively | #maztalks
Over the past few months, I have realised a pattern and it is time I address it. Spreading awareness about whatever you care about can go left if you do not use the tools required to spread awareness effectively. Nearly everybody will help any cause these days. If it's fitness, social causes, wildlife, or politics –you name it, a believer is there. Non-government and non-profit organisations, on the other hand, not only need donors, but also ongoing recognition in order to continue to raise money and sustain public support and attention. In this episode, I discuss how we can all spread awareness effectively. As well as, how to find people with similar interests. Instrumental by Temi_montana (Instagram) Contact me: linktr.ee/maazz.a

Time to make sacrifices | #maztalks
The key to success is making sacrifices. We save our money and time for something more meaningful as we lose what we want right now. This brings us closer to our true goals. We really want something, not just something that we want at this time. Sacrifice is more critical than success and without sacrificing something you can't succeed. Instant Gratification is killing my people | #maztalks
In the past year, the increase of people altering their natural looks to fit into western beauty standards has risen more than ever. More females are getting Brazilian butt lift surgery, some are taking substances such as Apetamin to put on weight. Regardless, the current generation I am in does not want to work for what they want. We live in a world whereby people would rather pay a lot of money for someone else to do the job rather than doing it ourselves. People who fall into the quick gratification pit want something out of nothing. Unfortunately, the universe does not operate in this manner. To receive something, you must first give something. Relationships and social media influence Part 1 FT. Rico | #maztalks
Everyone wants to find the right partner, get married and have kids (in due time). From a young age, we are exposed to a lot of 'happy endings', but it's far from that. Growing up, I believed in love at first sight and very quickly, I realised that isn't how life works. Everywhere you look whether its social media, tv or around you, being relationship is the ultimate goal. On social media, we see one side of relationships and some aspire to have the same. I've seen 'God when' on Twitter so many times. Every time I'm surprised and intrigued to know why everyone is in a rush. In this episode, Rico and I discuss relationship pet peeves, what we've observed and so much more. What we ave to realise is there's no point rushing. Men's Mental Health PT.2 FT. AV | #maztalks
In this episode, AV and I discuss mental health in the black community and how it affected him. AV shares his story about his past and how certain events took a toll on his mental health. Growing up, we were always told not to show our emotions. You were not allowed to let people know you you are going through stuff. There a lot of people offering help as well as platforms for people to speak up about. Enough is enough! It is about time we speak up about it and educate the older generation. It is about time we stand up and make a change before it's too late. Men's Mental Health pt.1 FT. D1MZY | #maztalks
Men's mental health is a topic that isn't discussed as much as it should. In 2017, 5,821 suicides were recorded in Great Britain, of this 75% this 75% were males. Suicide represents the largest cause of death for men under 50. Throughout this episode, Dimzy and I discuss mental health in the black community as well as our personal experiences. Growing up, we were always told not to show our emotions. You were not allowed to let people know you you are going through stuff. Men are stereotypically are supposed to masculine and tough, but even sometimes they go through stuff they may not want to speak about. Enough is enough! It is about time we speak up about it and educate the older generation. Alternative Forms of Fitness ft Rashaad Mangera | #maztalks
In this episode, Rashaad and I discuss alternative ways to stay fit. When we think of exercise, we think of going for a run, jog or a walk. There is so much more to do to stay fit and healthy. Alternative exercise activities are trampolining, boxing, swimming, pole dancing and the list goes on. Incorporating some exercise in our lives is so crucial at a young age. Not everyone wants to go to the gym, that is perfectly fine. Youtube Link: Instrumental by Temi_montana (Instagram) Twitter: @Maztalks_ Instagram: @Maztalks_ Snapchat: Maazz.a

How To Quieten Your Mind - Episode 3 | #maztalks
We must have control of our lives. A lot of us live in a world whereby other people such as managers, lecturers, teachers control what we do day in and day out. Aside from that, we should have time for ourselves. When you feel like life is putting you in a chokehold, take a step back and make time to get back to reality. As much as we tell little kids to play or take a break we should take the advice on for ourself. Remember this episode is part of a series so, make sure you subscribe to see the latest episode. Love! Setting, Preserving and Building Boundaries
In your journey of becoming a better version of yourself, you have to look after your mental, physical, emotional, spiritual wellbeing. A lot of us for many reasons forget to set boundaries with the people around us which is understandable. It is important to make sure you express what's ok and what’s not okay, what bothers you and what doesn’t, what you need and what you don’t etc. You need to let people know you won’t accept less than. As well as setting boundaries you need to be able to preserve them. In this podcast, I share reasons to persevere, build and set boundaries across all areas of your life. Doreen Virtue said “Boundaries are a part of self-care. They are healthy, normal, and necessary". (I do not own any rights to the music used) Twitter @maztalks_ Instagram @maztalks_

Starting your week right!
As busy as I can get having a good schedule of my day is very key. Even though I like living life on the edge I enjoy knowing what I'm doing from A to B. I like to make sure by the end of the day I've completed certain tasks so that makes my day more productive as well as keeping me from my bed. We all know our bed is our weakness and it's mine. I'm the biggest believer in making sure I use all my hours in my day to my advantage. What a lot of us don't realise is we all have the same hour in the day, but it's what we do in that time frame that sets us apart from others. A lot of millionaires start their day at 6 am, by the evening they've probably completed more tasks than you can imagine. My Gym Journey
For many reasons, I started going to the gym and it has changed my kife for the better. I went from being slightly disorganised and stressed to having a clear schedule of my week and being more active. Starting my gym journey wasn't easy, but I made sure every moment I spent there was worth it. Whether you're going to the gym to become more healthy or to escape reality, I definitely recommend that you try it out. Fast track to success: Mentoring
After a conversation on Twitter, I looked at my journey from a whole new perspective. A lot of us have talent in one area or a few. The majority of the time we don't believe in ourselves which results in us not reaching our dream goals. Growing up, I've always been mentored and it has helped me in my journey so far. Mentoring provides guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modelling. Resolutions
At the start of the year we always make resolutions, but hardly any of us actually stick to them. Over the years I’ve always made resolutions/goals that were either unrealistic or too basic. Either way I never stuck to them. Yikes. Why’s that? I wasn’t hungry for it. My mind wasn’t in that right place, I wasn’t motivated and I found every single possible way to avoid doing.
