The Jeff Ronan Retirement Podcast
A legend and Old Boy of Mazenod College, Mr Jeff Ronan, is going on long service leave before retiring after 43 years of serving Mazenod.
Mr Alexander sits down for 15 minutes with Jeff to ask about how it all began, what his fondest memories are, and what he plans to do in retirement (1:36). His answers are littered with Mazenod history and hopefully give you more insight into who Jeff is and what the Mazenod community is all about.
To end the podcast (16:02), we hear short messages from Jeff's colleagues, past and present. We're even lucky enough to hear from 3 Oblates, 1 of whom was a past rector of the college.

National Refugee Week runs from Sunday 19 June to Saturday 25 June. This year's theme is Healing. Healing promotes harmony and togetherness. Healing unites individuals, communities and organisations from diverse backgrounds. We move forward in unity. The theme is a powerful reminder that, regardless of our differences, we all share a humble need for acceptance and to heal. Mainstream and refugee communities alike can draw upon shared hardship to heal wounds, to learn from each other and to move forward. Healing can occur through storytelling, through community and also through realisation of our intrinsic interconnectedness as individuals.
Join Mazenod teacher Mr James Wani as he shares his journey from the South Sudan, to a refugee camp in Uganda onto Australia and finally how he comes to land at Mazenod.
