In a world where success is measured by our economic standing, what is success to God?

Christ's death has cleansed us from all our past, so why is it that people like to use our past against us?

The most essential elements needed in life are also the same elements we need to as followers of the Christ.

There are times when you have enough faith, you will be healed only just by stretching your arm.

That is a good question.

Those who called themselves believers and followers of Christ are one of these types of soils.  

What is love?

It requires faith on our part.

God is a God of opportunities.  We must persist in prayer no matter what, maybe, it could be that our prayers might the be second opportunity somebody needs from God.

What does God require of us? How long does it take God to answer our prayers?

We celebrate today our 3rd Advent

As we begin the month of December, let us remember that it is not about toys or gifts, it is about Christ.

What is this Unlimited Power?, where does it come from? Can I have it?

How can we live with Peace?

What is it we need from God?

At times we believe that our plans are better than God's plans, we are delusional to believe that we control our lives, thou in some way that is true, but we forget that God, the Creator, has a better and greater plan for our lives.

Trusting God is no easy thing, but the Creator has all the answers we do not.

Birthday, Christmas and many other holidays are reasons that people receive gifts.  These gifts of course with the passing of time may be given away, may break, or you may throw them in the trash or give them to a thrift store.  There is one gift that does not have an expiration date, you could refuse it, and this gift is everlasting.  The gift we are speaking is the git that comes from our Heavenly Creator.

What does it mean to have courage?

Who likes change to come into their lives?  Change is inevitable, it will come to all of us, it's how we learn to adapt to it that makes the difference.

It is not enough to pray to God for the things we need, at times we also have to get involved.  You can pray to God for a job but don't expect to get a call if you have not filled out applications for work or have sent your resume to companies that are looking for workers, you have to send your information and let God help you get the right job that is for you.  The book of Matthew clearly tells us that we are to ask, seek and knock.

In today's service our brother Luke Shannon, who has one more year of Seminary, will be making a presentation about his experience as an Interim at MCC and also his travels to the Holy Land and how he saw things.

There are many times in our lives where we go to church, are in diver ministries, are even involved in other things around our community and yet we fail to listen to God's voice.  What happened?

In the sharing of the word, Rev. Dr. Lori explains to us that there is really no excuse for us not to be involve in the things of the Creator, at church and even not given up running the race.

Today's message allows us to reflect how we are doing in our own personal race, this is not a marathon you are running or preparing for but the race set before us by God.

Where our heart is that's where our treasure will be.

We are so tied down to the things of this world, we get caught up with worries, we become more preoccupied with money, buying things and planning for the future, and that is all right to do but when it does not include God then things are vain and useless.  In today's message, Rev. Dr. Lori explains to us what we must do to stay focus on God and in God.

What is it like for people who have never been to a Gay Pride fest?  We need to be proud of who we are not prideful.

The only question we must ask to find salvation.  In this message, Rev. Dr. Lori guides us with the word of God in how we must do this.

We expect one day to go to Heaven, that is, when you die.  What we do not understand that we are experiencing heaven around us.

Just like the Apostle Peter, who being raised in the traditional jewish way, we too have to learn to accept ourselves and anyone else who is different.  We don't have to rationalize it just accept it.

Sheep need a guide, an individual who can lead them to the correct pastures, this individual is The Shepherd.   Likewise, we need the Creator, Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit to guide us to all truth.

How we perceive people at times has to do with our culture and upbringing.
