34: What happens when you don't listen to your intuition?
We've all done it even if we didn't realize it at first; that hindsight being clearer vision AFTER we've done something that leads to more self-pain, self-neglect, or self-suffering.
Could you have known before you made that decision or did that thing not to do it? The short answer: Yes, that's where building and trusting your intuition comes in. The long answer: it can be complicated if you're constantly doubting yourself or not listening to those inner nudges.
In this episode, we explore the importance of intuition and self-trust and ways to build it while learning how to feel safe in your body again.

Join me in an exploration of the unknown, where we challenge the status quo and make room for fresh perspectives.
Let's dive deep into disrupting old ideas and paving the way for new possibilities. It's a journey of self-discovery and growth you won't want to miss.

32: Exploring infinite human potential
What if we realized that we truly are infinite? That our realities don't have to stay the same, that molding our present and future is truly at the whim of our decisions?
I probe this idea (that I believe more to be reality than not) of infinite human potential. The endless feelings, choices, desires, thoughts, etc. that any one of us can experience are limitless. So, let's discover more than once thought.
This episode accompanies a new blog I've created called Scripted Worlds on Substack, where I write to philosophize, explore and create new worlds. Subscribe for weekly updates, ideas, and much more.

Do you have a fear of abandonment, rejection, intimacy, neglect, or something else?
I did, and after a sequence of unexpected events, I was made aware of just what those fears were, where they stemmed from, and how they were running my life. Not all fear is bad — you have to survive somehow, right. But, once they become the foundation for your belief systems, decisions, actions, identity, and more you may be harming or limiting yourself and/or others more than anything else.
It takes a deeply honest look as well as the right tools to identify, navigate, and heal your fears. And this episode dives into these very methods.
Whether it's a somatic practice like EFT (emotional freedom technique) or breathwork or other practices like therapy, journaling, energy healing, movement, etc. it is possible to transcend the very fears that may be holding you back. Click play to learn more.

20: Choosing to Embrace Opportunity Without Fear
Hi all! I'm back with an inspirational reflection on ways to address fear, doubt, and anxiety that may be surrounding any new beginning or opportunity you might be facing. Like I have experienced before, at times when something new comes about (no matter the opportunity), sometimes fully embracing it and taking a leap into that exhilarating yet unknown space can be overwhelming and cause doubt. It's weird to think about how a new opportunity can invite feelings of fear, but in many cases these feelings arise as versions of our past selves that are attempting to keep up free from this perceived harm of the unknown outcome of this new experience. So in this episode, I challenge all us (whether you realize it or not) to welcome and embrace new opportunities as they come and to NO LONGER succumb to the doubtful rhetoric of our old narratives. It is time to create and use a new narrative with ourselves and all the new beginnings coming our way. Whether that be new love, new connections, new skills, a new job, a new place, or realizing it is time to start your life anew, change your inner narrative to align with your deep-rooted truth. Go beyond fear and choose to take a leap with curiosity and love.

16: Monday Night Reflections - The Bukongo
Welcome to a new 100% opinion based segment of the Meditation Matters Podcast called "Monday Night Reflections". Tonight's reflection is about an Instagram post that really captured Nayo's attention to where she felt the need to dig into it. The premise? Traditional cultures around the world have known many things about the universe, the way it works and flows, the origins of consciousness, and have worshipped, celebrated or simply learned and existed with this universal knowledge since the beginning of time. As Nayo expands her awareness of spirituality across cultures, she felt it necessary to discuss the Bukongo - derived out of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Tune in to hear our first Monday Night Rant!

04: The Power of Vulnerability
In this episode I dive into the realm of vulnerability - what it means and the power of it. We've mostly been taught that being vulnerable is a sign of weakness translating it into being risky business. Yet, in this episode, from combined research and lived experience, I argue that allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is the complete opposite: strength, courage, and love. I had the opportunity to dive into the works of Brene Brown renown researcher on this topic of the power of vulnerability and you can find an interview of her here and a video of one of her talks here. She offers tons of great content (books and TED talks) on this topic that I encourage you all to explore further as you see fit. As mentioned, this is the first episode in this series on vulnerability. I will dial back to this topic via interviews with friends, colleagues and so much more to learn more of their journey with vulnerability. As always, let's keep this conversation going, message me a question or comment for a chance to be featured! I would love to hear your thoughts and stories on the role vulnerability plays in your lives. So let's get vulnerable together.
