Meet Me in Isaiah

Meet Me in Isaiah

By Marnie Clark

Prophecies about Israel’s coming Messiah are all throughout the Hebrew Scriptures, but Isaiah 53 is such a concise and precise description of this Messiah, who sounds just like Jesus! Written about 700 years before Jesus’ birth, we all - Jew and Gentile alike - can find comfort in the reliability of God’s Word and His promises for us. Meet Jesus in the Hebrew book of Isaiah and meet people who have met Jesus! We all need this Messiah.

Episode 58: Road to Emmaus Series: "Ignorance is Not Bliss" - Isaiah 1:1-9

Welcome to the 2nd episode in our "Road to Emmaus" series where we are asking Jesus to open Isaiah to us and show us Himself as He opened the Scriptures to the disciples on the road to Emmaus in Luke 24.
Although Isaiah can be a difficult book to understand at times, the message is quite simple: trust God! Turning away from God puts us in complete darkness. He is our Creator and He sees all and knows best.
Scriptures referenced:
Isaiah 1:1-9
Luke 24
2 Kings 15-21
2 Chronicles 26-33
Exodus 19:4-6
Isaiah 43:16-19a
John 6:68
Luke 23:34

Suggested song: Isaiah 43, Pt 2 from Project of Love

Julie found herself inside of an ambulance with a life threatening injury, asking those soul searching, end of life questions. Did she live a life that glorified God? Did she use her God given gifts to make a difference in the lives of others? She was blessed with a miracle involving Isaiah 41:10: "So do not fear for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God..." A spiritually transformative experience became the catalyst for a new calling.

In 2009, she was recognized by the Mecklenburg Times as a Healthcare Hero. She is also an author and her book, Picture Perfect, is a message about finding identity in Christ and helping readers to find breakthroughs.
