When folks see you go through big things, they expect big insights from you. But, actually, I’ve got something much simpler to talk about.

Having lost both parents, death is not a distant possibility, it is an awareness. Yet, I’m not afraid because I know the One who’s conquered death - Jesus!

If you don’t have the fairytale romance, but you are still holding on, enduring, and loving your spouse through, this episode might be just what the doctor ordered. “Grain for bread is crushed; indeed, he does not continue to thresh it forever. Because the wheel of his cart and his horses eventually damage it, He does not thresh it longer.” Isaiah 28:28

Go from fearing in this current crisis to trust and start loving others and sharing Christ’s peace instead.

Ever heard of the recent addition to the phrase, “Silence is golden; duct tape is silver.” The best meaning I gather from this is that there truly are times to speak and times to be silent. But it’s quite a different story for someone to be forced to shut up (as in the metaphorical case with duct tape) Recognize discretion of holding your tongue in wisdom versus the enemy drawing satisfaction from your muted state.

Ultimately, the thing that is stealing our rest might be us. We are choosing to burn the candle at both ends, but why? What’s at the heart of these choices? This episode gently explores this and shares how we can redirect our hearts to be more fruitful in our lives.

This episode prompts us all to be inviting people who ask others in and not stay so closed off from the world. How do we accomplish that in days we don’t really feel like it.
