Episode 13: Kristin A. O'neal, Financial Planner

Financial fears and uncertainty are certainly normal during this time.  Listen as Kristin O'neal, Financial Planner, shares her wisdom and grounded perspective.

One of my favorite parts of the interview is when Kristin says:  "I've been thinking about yoga a lot.  This is a situation where you just have to sit with it and not be waiting for it to change or be over.  You have to adjust to this moment."  She talks about everything from the importance of pivoting, to the available options for stimulating the economy, to the lessons we need to take from this event moving forward.

Episode 12: Brandye Brown, Attorney

Episode 12: Brandye Brown, Attorney

Lawyers have alarmingly high levels of alcohol abuse, depression, anxiety and divorce;  and they are 6 times more likely to commit suicide.  Mindfulness in the Law is our topic for today's podcast.  Brandye Brown left Big Law in order to find her joy again.  She really lets us in--opening the hood on what working in a big firm was like for her (and for so many others).  This is a great episode for anyone considering the legal profession or for those who feel stuck in their current role.

This is an episode for anyone who dreams of doing something completely outside your comfort zone.  How do you even begin?  Learn from someone who is doing just that--Robin left her corporate job of 11 years to travel and build a business around traveling.  Little audio delay on my end--gets better as it goes.   Mindfulness lesson of the day--embracing non-judgment! Much love!

Episode 9: Brenton Harris, Owner Cleansweepers DFW

Mindfulness in cleaning and the art of reinvention! Learn all about it from a great meditation teacher, Brenton Harris.

Two of my favorite Brenton quotes from this episode:

"F it--I'm gonna figure it out.  I can breathe through this.  I can move into a space, be uncomfortable, and go."

and

"The cleanliness of a space is so integral to mindfulness."

I couldn't agree more--soak up this man's wisdom.  A lot of gems here.

Episode 4: Christina Rossini, Capeltic Coffee

Episode 4: Christina Rossini, Capeltic Coffee

I learned so much from my talk with Christina.  She is a true woman of faith.  One of my favorite quotations from this episode was when Christina said this about the power of meditation...

"It's a lot easier to hear God's whisper when it's quiet."

Episode 3: Michelle Kinder, Momentous Institute

Episode 3: Michelle Kinder, Momentous Institute

When I asked Michelle how she knew if her meditation was helping her, I really liked her response:

"I track on 2 things--what is happening when I'm meditating, & then I track much more closely on what's happening in my life as a result of a deepening meditation."

I also loved this little nugget:  When introducing meditation to children, she shared Susan Kaiser Greenland's wise words:

"A short time, many times."
