For my Social Note my guest and I analyze how this moment in social media and pop-culture is linked how the patriarchal society shames women for owning their sexuality. Hello everyone, welcome to Social Note I am your host Mellanni Pargas. 

I want to thank you all for joining us today on our first episode.  We will be discussing and analyzing the incident that happened to female rap artist "Megan The Stallion" last year. As we analyze her story we take a moment to reflect and understand how this pop-culture event impacted and affected us as media consumers. We focus on how Megan's story played out the way it did because of systematic sexism and misogyny in Rap music.
