My number 1 advice when trying to coparent with a narcissist. Give your kids time to decompress or a place to express themselves emotionally. #Narcissistic parents tend to stifle your kids and make them repress their emotions so they need a place to safely express themselves when they come back from the toxic parents home.

Love isolate you from your support system or consistently put you through hurt. You know what that is? It isn't love....it's the trauma bond. If a narcissist ever confesses or comes clean to you they expect total forgiveness. They do not think you should ever bring it up again and you should get over it. Narcissistic people really don't think you should ever use it against them again even if they do it again and again.

Contrary to popular belief, some narcissists are very easy to manipulate. Notice I wrote SOME not all. There are some narcissists who think they are the smartest person in the room but it's usually a cover for insecurities and shallowness. If you make it seem like it's beneficial to them, then you can get what you want from those narcissistic people.

Some narcissists absolutely want you to feel sorry for them and will use their bad experiences to try and connect with you. Not all narcissists want your pity, matter of fact some absolutely hate it. They dont' want you to feel sorry for them no matter what. But for those that do, they love pity and will absolutely take advantage of your empathy and compassion for them.

Whenever you tell a narcissist that you want to end the relationship, they almost always think that you have someone else in the picture. Why do narcissists always think you want to leave them for someone else? There could be a few different reasons behind it but the main one is that they want to avoid accountability at all costs and this is the easiest way to go about doing it.

Some narcissists dont know why they are giving you the silent treatment. They really don't have a valid reason to stop talking to you. A lot of the time it's because of some perceived disrespect or something you may have done unintentionally.

Why does it seem like there are so many narcissists today? I personally think there is an overuse of the word narcissist in today's society, but I also think it helps a lot of people understand what they have been through in this space. Who you reach out to is an extremely important decision that you have to make when you are dealing with a narcissist. Reaching out to the wrong person or people can be detrimental to your healing process. People that don't understand what you have been going through may inadvertently become flying monkeys for the narcissist or toxic person that you are dealing with and that could keep you there with a narcissist or in a toxic relationship. So you have to be careful in who you share with. A good support system can help as well.
