Hey Listener -

Thank you for existing and checking out this podcast.

My first experience and memory was flying into my body. For the longest time, I had no idea what this was - but it propelled one prime mission in Life; to figure out Who Am I, really?

Have many of you felt that way? We all come in our own life experience, conditioning, stories, and truth. Here, I share mine.

Without labeling, I fill many "roles" and have been through severe abuse and trauma in my life. I share my experiences to help others, break stigma, and rebuild humanity.

0008 - Poetry Reading: Blessings of Sounds

Welcome to the first episode of Poems.

This will be a seperate segment unrelated to the main series of topics or discussions.

As a creator, artist, and person who wishes to share his vision, creativity and wisdom with the world - I have dedicated a significant portion of my life to a commitment towards the study of the spiritual, as well as cultivating more of that essence into my daily life.

This is not the first poem I have ever written, but this is a poem that came to me on Day 65 of my daily gratitude regiment I do ritually.

This poem sprung upon me like a dam bursting ready for the water to just pour out, and I effortlessly let the words come out.

This particular poem is a dedication to the important and significance of Sound. For most of us, we are coming to realize the world needs to been similar to how Nikola Tesla would describe as "Frequency and Vibration." Much of what we call sound is based off of these forces. We are learning that sound and light are in a state of frequency and vibration for us to perceive it, and our body is limited to a degree on what it is capable of perceiving.

Creation creates creativity, and it is my privilege to be a part of the sound of Creation, while also dedicating this poem to the Sounds of All Things and that some may called "No Thing."

0006 - (Perspectives of US) on "Occult Knowledge and Esoteric Science"

I explore social media and follow a page titled "Occult Knowledge and Esoteric Science." Here, I explore posts, honor a few voices of the group and read off their commentary while also offering my own personal reflections. The idea to write again was inspired by various people, but notably my girlfriend. (Thank you!) This is the first episodic series where other voices are heard, as we explore deeper questions and people of many backgrounds and culture here on Earth. What is it to be us, as we reflect on Spirituality, Science, Wisdom passed down and our own stories to tell. We inherit all sorts of history and memory, and how we choose to pay reverence to that or choose to see it will be different for each of us, while possibly being similar to clusters of us. And so, I am excited to publish and share the first series like this, and my hope is it will spark more conversations and voices to share in what we each have to share and teach to others. Special thanks to the Facebook group: Occult Knowledge and Esoteric Science. Like, follow and share for possible future commentary and engagement or to add to the culture and enrichment of our ancestral roots. Reach out to MentalTheoryCrafting@gmail.com if you have feedback, commentary, inspirations for groups and commentary to add and share that you would like to see more of. Please be mindful, while voices are meant to be heard - that does not constitute a license to inflict harm on each other, commit domestic violence or acts of terrorism. The intentions of this podcast is to add value to human life, promote the construction of character through history and bond over our values to connect to spirit and whatever Higher Self or Power you believe in. We all have different languages, rituals and expressions to honor the spirit/soul/universe within or the spirit/soul/universe external. May that speak through Religion, Spirituality, or a personal knowing and attunement by other means beyond words and belief - this podcast supports you. Thanks for listening, and thanks for existing.

0005 - On "Kim, Ye, and Pete Davidson"

0005 - On "Kim, Ye, and Pete Davidson"

On this episode of Mental Theorycrafting, we talk about the hot topic that has been blowing up on my social media - Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. In this episode, I offer the reader insights and perspective sharing some of my own stories and opinions regarding what appears to be publicized domestic abuse between Ye, Kim, and Pete. The toxic love triangle that people can't seem to get enough about that also seems to be drowning out what is currently happening elsewhere in America and the World, such as the war between Ukraine and Russia. I try to focus in the child's perspective and what they might be growing up with in this situation, since we live in a generation where all the adults get to have opinions about what is happening when someone's life becomes a spectacle for entertainment and glamor - who gets really left behind? And in a world of mandated reporting, why does it seem like no one is thinking of the children? This type of thing is exactly why so many women and children feel they do not have a voice - because if even their idols and celebrities can't have a voice when they are known for always having one, then what does that say about people who are non-celebrities and their chances about possibly seeking help?

0004 - On "Waiting on Fairy Tale Happy Endings"

0004 - On "Waiting on Fairy Tale Happy Endings"

Hi this is Shaun with Mental Theorycrafting. I'm back! I decided to briefly discuss my hiatus and lead into dedicating this particular episode to a meme I saw on an Anxiety forum that read, "hope my story gets a happy ending because I've been through shit I didn't deserve." It got me reflecting on my own experiences of what I felt I did and didn't deserve, and how those layers didn't help serve me for my own personal healing or recovery. It added another layer of denial and resistance that preventing me from being able to properly self love, and in turn, love other. I was able to see these entitlement tendencies that pervaded some of my psyche, that I maladapted to growing up in those sort of hostile environments. I share this episode in an unscripted, raw form and use the meme as a jumping off point to lead into discussing some things I learned about invalidation, and how some invalidating is absolutely required sometimes to shed the old habits or past we no longer want to feel anchored to. But that is not to say that all things should be invalidated as if they are trivial or insignificant. If a rape victim is yearning to be believed because of what was unjustly done do them, it isn't unreasonable to see that invalidating in that way is a form of gaslighting and psychological abuse. However, for other people and in different ways, some invalidating is absolutely necessary in order to grow and find anchoring in hope and gratitude. Your self worth or self concept doesn't have to be so contingent on what you feel is owed or not owed to you, or how you issue out those sentences onto people. Challenge yourself to realize you don't have to wait for a happy ending when you can focus on starting small with figuring out ways to create happy moments without wait and sense of urgency. Not all fairy tales end well, and not everyones story ends happily. So, live it while you can and live for today, while you still can. Thank you for existing and thank you for listening. Also, for those of you who felt this was valuable or you'd like to share your thoughts, feelings or stories, feel free to write me at mentaltheorycrafting@gmail.com. Cheers.

The Lost Logs of Commander Thoughts - Log 0012: Titles, Just the Facts Jack.

The Lost Logs of Commander Thoughts - Log 0012: Titles, Just the Facts Jack.

This is the second episode of a creative narrative series that follows an astronaut named Thoughts, who is on a mission in space. In his moments of solitude, he creates personal logs that reflect on a lot of life back at home. In this episode, Thoughts goes into detail about his role and expectations as a Commander, and reflects on how burdening titles and names can sometimes be. This episode is inspired and dedicated to those who struggle with negative self talk or taking harsh words and criticism from various places. We often become what we focus on and surround ourselves with. Thoughts ends this segment with a call to action to "drop the bag" of the harsh words and symbols, and to simply "be."

The Lost Logs of Commander Thoughts - Log 0001: Launch

The Lost Logs of Commander Thoughts - Log 0001: Launch

This is the first episode of a series I've decided to write. It follows the narrative of "Thoughts," an astronaut commander of a ship SW949, aka "Shaun." This particular episode was inspired of a close friend and girlfriend at the time - when we were navigating some relationship problems and needed to take "space." And, almost always when in any relationship, conflict happens, and often creating space is necessary for wounds to heal. There is often a fear impressed into people when space is required; whether that is to be the one to ask for it, set the tone, or to be aware space is needed. Many people don't know how to respect boundaries when they lack boundaries of their own. We had agreed to take space, so both of us could take time to self reflect on some of the junk we were putting on each other. So, in my space, this idea came to mind and Commander Thoughts was born. We shared stories we wrote in our own space (she was an excellent writer with brilliant creativity.) I shared this with her. She absolutely loved it and thought it would be a great idea to publish. I was hesitant, but the idea of publishing it was confirmed again by my niece when I read it to her. The series won't always focus on relationships, but, rather more so just "connecting dots" and sharing my own personal views and learnings read by me in the form of a creative, dialectical narrative. In my eyes, we are "all" astronauts. We often identify with our "thoughts", and we command our vessels (our body.) When we take a moment to not identify with certain thoughts, we step outside ourselves (space) and see things from a different perspective as the Observer (astronaut.) And stepping into this "Observer" is what allows us to sometimes see things with more clarity, or can sometimes teach us very powerful lessons and insights about ourselves and others (the dots.) It can sometimes teach us how we react and respond to others, and how to navigate the ship differently. In this way, we are all Astronauts. And as Astronauts, we all struggle in ways but also can thrive on assimilating new information when we really think about it and "take command" of our ship. In this series, Commander Thoughts is an astronaut who decided to create logs to express himself using a form of journaling, to cope with the pressures of life and his job as "an astronaut." Thoughts often remarks to American pop culture, various sciences, psychology, friendships and relationships, his own reflections, and observations he's made about the world back home. Thank you for taking the time to listen and I hope you as listener, (observer) enjoy! Much love. And thank you "Bex."
